The Rose & Crown

This review is from September 2011. We promised them a review but have only just joined Tripadvisor - a promise is a promise!! My brother was getting married at The Rose & Crown just around the corner but we decided to stay in the Rose & Crown. We were very pleasantly surprised when we saw the place and were eagerly greeted by the landlady who showed us around and left us to choose which room we would like as we were the only guests staying that night. I can't remember the number of the room we chose but it was the middle one with one window overlooking the beer garden. The rooms were not luxurious but were exactly what was needed, in good decor and clean. We can't comment on the noise at night from the bar below as we were at the wedding celebrations so were back late for both nights we were staying there. One thing we CAN comment on though is the breakfast - wow!! It must have been triple the size of a full English but was amazing. We had a great time there and would not hesitate to book again with them if we need accommodation in the area.
