We have stayed here before and it is lovely comfortable accommodation. You receive a breakfast bag each day and the fridge is stocked with milk and water. There are also plenty of teabags, coffee and biscuits provided. You have everything you need for a relaxing stay.

I stay here most years for an event I attend nearby. The rooms are good value, clean and have everything I need. It is low hassle, quiet and I sleep well. Breakfast is very basic Fruit, pastry and cereal bar hung on the door the day before but suits me for an early start.

I play here a lot and it’s a really great setup. £14 for 9 holes, no par 5’s but for practice it really is ideal. The greens have seen a massive improvement in recent months and the overall course is cared for brilliantly. 

Not a particularly difficult course but good variety, I also like that it’s quite relaxed on dress code etc.

We were pleasantly surprised as wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Everything was as promised, room was large, clean, comfortable and warm.  Little extras such as magnifying mirror, room spray and to go breakfast.  Really would recommend and we would certainly stay again but for longer.  Really lovely little gem!

Played 18 holes today when you think of all the rain we have had the fairways are nice and dry and the greens are fantastic for this time of year running lovely. No mud on my shoes or trouser’s well done to the green keeper. Plus best bacon roll money can buy

Great course, not very challenging but a good variety of holes

Little gem

This is a really well run and maintained family owned Golf course with holiday lodges. 

The course is very well looked after by Ian it is not overly long but has very tight tree lined fairways.   The trees are very mature mostly Firs which are low to the ground and it means that if you are not accurate then chances are you will not have a very good lie for your next shot.
Margaret Ian and the rest of the team are very welcoming and helpful.  I highly recommend this venue to all golfers and tourist.

Stayed overnight recently while visiting family in Newent. This is the second time we have stayed here. The room was spotless and well equipped (the chiller a nice touch) with tea/coffee/biscuits and the breakfast bag was adequate for us.The lodges are in a nice quiet location perfect for exploring everything the area has to offer. The management team are always very helpful and ready to go the extra mile. Recommended.

Quiet Location

Staying for work not the golf got a text from Ian with post code room numbers and what to do on arrival etc.As stated this is room only but the free takeaway breakfast was a nice touch along with the fridge in the room with the water orange juice and a pint of milk in. Rooms spotless with all the information you need for your stay from ordering a takeaway to the nearest pub would definitely recommend this place and I wouldn’t hesitate using this accommodation again thankyou   Stephen

Really nice comfortable on-suite Lodge by the golf course.Tea and coffee facilities and a little fridge for your wine/chocolates. Shower was nice and hot and if you check out after 9 get a bacon sandwich from reception lovely. Nice quiet bolt hole if you're visiting the Gloucester/Forest of Dean area.Try to arrive in the daylight be because in the sat nav is playing up you might miss the entrance in the dark.

We stayed for five nights and found this accommodation exactly right for our needs. It was very well located to use as a base to visit various places of interest such as Ledbury and Gloucester. Our room was comfortable and quiet. A short car journey away were the Kings Arms in Newent and the Beauchamp Arms in Dymock, where we had delicious evening meals. The owners were very helpful and thoughtful. Everything was well-organised and good value for money.

An excellent base

I spent a night there in September 2019, on the way back to London from my Wales holiday. Booking was easy, paid in advance a day earlier, and upon arrival I found the invoice on my bed. They have a fair size car park next to the reception, as they are golf club, too. There was no kitchen/restaurant on site, but they gave me some dishes to my takeaway. Staff was very helpful find me takeaway leaflets and fix the internet connection, which was interrupted at the first hour. The lodges are a bit down from there, next to each other in a half circle surrounding a courtyard.   Clean room, very comfy bed, small breakfast package in the room as well as usual kettle, tea/coffee. Bathroom is very tiny with a shower cubicle, but clean. We also have a little fridge in the room, but not too strong. All in one I had a good sleep and that's all I wanted.

Good value, good service

We stayed for two nights at Newent Golf Club & Lodges to attend a wedding at the nearby church of St. John the Evangelist in Pauntley, Gloucestershire.  Our room was clean and comfortable and good value for money.  Maggie Brown, the person in charge was very helpful and sent a detailed E-mail before the visit on the best way to find the gold course and recommendations on local restaurants and taxi services etc.  Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
