The Majestic Hotel

The hotel is Ok considering what we paid. Our shower was no bigger than a normal cupboard and there was no hot water in the morning

The property was lovely and staff were polite and friendly

Had a fantastic stay at the Majestic Hotel in Eastbourne! The location is perfect right on the seafront with beautiful views and close to the pier. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. They upgraded me to a sea view room free of charge which was great! Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Definitely better than most hotels in the area as they have recently renovated the place I believe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

The hotel and the staff easily surpassed our expectations.
We arrived an hour early and thought we'd check in our bags
and go for a walk etc.
We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered our room
and an hour early.
The room was  very recently decorated and very big and clean
The staff, the 5 we met, were delightful and super quick
to respond to a small problem we had with a window.
The food was served with a smile.
The breakfast we both had during our two-night stay was very good
and excellent VFM.

The hotel will provide if required local councilparking permits at 2.20p
for 24-hour parking on the seafront roads.
In our view,  the hotel staff  made us feel very welcome
and in our opinion, they were genuinely nice people.
We both strongly recommend the Majestic Hotel

It was an excellent weekend stay at this hotel.  The new management has done a very good job and has completely refurbished the hotel with new carpets, furniture, paint, and wallpapers. It has also upgraded the internet from 100 MB to 500 MB, with very good connectivity in all rooms.  The name has also been changed to 
Bay Majestic Hotel.  

Food Quality was excellent, as they have hired a very experienced CHEF who has worked in many 5-star hotels.  All Staff is very courteous and helpful.  I would recommend all my friends to stay there.   The previous ratings do not justify the property.  ***** 

On your site you have very old pictures of the property, whereas it has changed drastically. I recommend Tripadvisor must get all the new pictures from the Hotel Management.

I had a lovely relaxing week at the majestic, no hassle no pressure , what a break should be.

I booked a superior double room of which was so comfortable and as being a bit disabled it suited my needs perfect, a big light and airy room , with an amazing shower…..also views over the ocean, rain or shine , spectacular
Room 223, peaceful and quiet room location, as the saying goes pay for the best  and get the best, that’s how life works!, 
I would like to thank ranjit who served breakfast, due to disability he always made sure I had everything I needed, and in the evenings Ali, so kind and caring.

Very chilled hotel, nice and clean, friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them.Room was lovely and spacious with spectacular sea views. 
Definitely stay here next time we in Eastbourne.

Comfy bed, cheap price, warm room, very satisfied customer. I have to say that the barman in the evening was so friendly kind and an asset to your organisation. The man on reception was great - sorry I didn't catch his name. For 24 pounds there is no complaints I had a lovely stay. For the gentleman on reception,  i am the person that said i would leave a Trip Advisor review.

Visited majestic hotel Monday 18th July for 4 nights with caledonian travel
Hotel dated but clean sea view room which I requested was a decent size clean and comfortable room very warm due to exsteme weather I went to reception and asked a very polite and cheerful lady if I could hire a fan which she replied  no but I can loan you one (Thankyou I didn't get your name sorry) ) i
 have to stress that all members of staff
That myself and my husband met were not only polite but very cheerful and professional at all time ( note to managers they need pay rise) food was very good and varied smallish portions but three courses so that's how it should be. Overall lovely week Thankyou all Eastbourne lovely

Fantastic  all round & excellent value for money

Asked for a different room so we got bigger windows, which was arranged no problem (thank you). Overall it was a nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ordered at the table. Sausage I was served was clearly a very budget one. Shame as the rest of the hot breakfast was good. Choice of 'other' breakfast was limited to 3 cereals and toast. Checkout at 10am is very early

Nice stay at the Bay Majestic

Simply Magnificent in all respects. I would give it a 10/10 rating.

Booked two rooms. One sea view for my elderly mums birthday with my dad. The other, just a double for myself and my wife with my assistance dog. Obviously we were not charged for my assistance dog, however when I booked, no one knew that Guide/Assistance dogs by law do not have to pay under the equality act 2010. It was sorted out and the money refunded. There were a few dogs in the hotel, however I believe there should be a rule that ALL dogs should be on a lead at ALL times. Mine obviously was as i required her at all time on a lead.

My parents room was OK for their needs. Very basic, but lots of people watching and looking across the sea. My mum was happy which is the most important thing.

Not may other guests, which was quite nice for us. Breakfast, brilliant, no problems. Evening meal, not a lot of choice, but we all found something we liked and it was very nice.

The two young people serving us tea/coffee and clearing our table were brilliant, The lady in charge (sorry, did not get their name, but they were working on the three days we were there) was very good and professional at all time, thank you.

There was only a family of four staying at the same time as us for bed/breakfast/evening meal. They did seem to complain about everything. I did have to advice them that it is a TWO star hotel, NOT a FIVE star, which I thought they were expecting. You get what you pay for. We knew this before we booked. However, the food was good, all the restaurant staff were brilliant. It was not their fault the lift had broken down, or bins had not been emptied, beds not made etc etc. I think they will try and get some kind of refund. One of them even come over to our table to see what we were eating to make sure we were not being treated better than them ! Which I thought was rather rude !

Anyway, we had a brilliant time, you make the most of what you get. We certainly did and had a wonderful three days/nights away. If we had paid more, and it was advertised as a FIVE star hotel, my review would have not been the same. A nice cheap and cheerful time was had by myself, my wife, and my parents. 

I could moan about loads of things, but not to the poor sods who were serving food. That is what the manager is fort !

I understand that this hotel is being closed down next week, and sold off. I hope they offer the catering staff their jobs back as they were brilliant.

Thank you for a very nice few days away, which we all needed. 



Good TWO star hotel, You get what you pay for. Don't expect a FIVE star hotel at TWO star prices !

arrived on the wednesday room was ok but bed was springy it was at the back of hotel so view of other buildings.rest of hotel was clean and well lit bar and entertainment in the evening.lifts but still steps to building and to restaurant.staff were helpful and friendly but problems with tv signal.rooms well done with teas coffees and toiletries cleaned three times
