I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming pub, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The room was cozy and well considered, providing a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The food was delicious, with a great selection of hearty pub classics and local specialties. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay to cornwall

Good for coastal path walking. The 95 bus stops nearby and goes to Bude, Crackington Haven, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Polzeath. The single room is fine though small and includes a kettle, tea and coffee. The pub breakfast is good. Parking isn't guaranteed but people are continuously leaving.

I spent 3 nights at the Wainhouse eating there on a number of occasions excellent food Outstanding Breakfast excellent size portions Friendly staff , enjoyed my stay convinent for the places I was visiting

Will definitely stay here again! Much cheaper than in bude and great to have a car park. Fab breakfast!

What a beautifull historic pub, great atmosphere, amazing food and a great spot out of town but on main travel routes if driving....

Cornish summer one day stay

I was really happy with the staff there. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and helpful. Lovely breakfast and as clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom. Nothing fancy but just what I wanted. I`m not a drinker but the pub looked authentic and inviting. I was automatically upgraded when a double room was available for most of my week. They made the holiday very pleasant.

OK, so it may not look as "well kept" from the outside, but this is a proper working pub with welcoming staff and great food. When it says home made - its home made :)Great selection and all the staff are really welcoming even if you do arrive a couple of hours early for check in...........Its on a busy road junction but i had a road facing room and was not woken by the noiseVery near to several beaches and is really well placed to explore Bude and surrounding areas at a fraction of the cost of hotels in town.My room was not the biggest - but a lot better than a few ive stayed in. Frankly i think they should be charging more based on what ive been charged through Hotels.com for similar accomodation.Dog friendly and loads of free parking

Great find and really welcoming

Quaint hotel, only 4 rooms but room was nicely presented. On the small side, bed was a little creaky and could hear noise from other rooms. Everything was clean and the shower had great pressure. Towels and toiletries were provided, as well as breakfast which was very nice and filling. Not bad for a one night stay in a little hotel.

We found the Inn to be OK, nice enough staff and atmosphere in the bar area. The room was small though and basic but very clean. We paid nearly £200 for 2 nights and felt that for that money the room should have been a bit better. We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday, Saturday was noisy until late and yes it's an Inn so maybe to be expected however because of the curtains being so see through I was also awake with the birds. The location is on the main road so good for getting to bude etc, you are reliant on travelling for food or entertainment if like me there is nothing on the menu that can be eaten. I would say the venue is OK for passing through but I wouldn't want to make it a holiday destination for more than a couple of days.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Old Wainhouse.  This good value accommodation was comfortable and had everything I needed.  The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful and that's what made the stay great.   The only downside is that you can hear the local A road, so don't stay there if the noise of traffic keeps you awake.

Central to everything around Bude, Tintagel. Great location for sightseeing. Epic breakfast sets you up for the day, very flexible on breakfast serving times. Great food. Sunday buffet lunch. Friendly country pub. Quick check in. Great helpful staff. Reasonably priced rooms. No curfew.Enjoyable stay.

Nice Country Pub.

I stayed for 2 nights in the single room. Small room but it was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely. Only downside was on my morning of departure I had arranged to take my daughter to an appointment and had to leave at 8 to pick her up. Unfortunitly there wasn't an staff around even at this time and the key I was given to unlock the side door didn't work! I even tried the windows which were locked. Thank fully another guest was leaving at this time and at first his key didn't work either. His partner came down and had found an alternative which I'm so thankful eventually opened a differnt door and we aĺ left. Still no staff about. I just about made it on time but it did leave me concerned if there was a fire or something.

Nice hotel disappointing end

Perfect for a one night stay. The Old Wainhouse is more a pub with rooms upstairs rather than a bona fida b&b, Everything was where it should be though, ensuite always nice. Breakfast was filling and tasty, although served in the pub, which in the morning was still being cleaned. But it was very good value for a last minute booking. And the village has a shop and petrol station, so you can stock up and fill up for the rest of your journey. Id go back again if Im in the area.

Very friendly staff,lovely welcome on a stormy night,a very cosy clean room with tea and coffee making facilities fresh towels and toiletries.The breakfast was faultless and the evening meals were good value  and cooked to perfection.Situated just outside Bude this is the perfect location to explore the stunning Cornish coast and countryside. A definite must for a break in Cornwall
