Just arrived home after 3 nights in a meadow lodge. We absolutely loved it so clean ! Had an issue with frozen pipes but came out within 15 minutes and sorted the problem ! 
Area is lovely we had snow and the kids still managed to get out and play ! Beach close by which will be lovely in summer and a little park on the site.
Would highly recommend for a little break with kids !

We rented in of the beach chalets in The Bay at Filey. It was one of the nicest, cleanest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed. The place was very clean, warm with under floor heating and a log fire, modern and had everything we needed to feel at home. It was a 5-10 minute walk down to the beach  / quite steep towards end (meaning a bit of a hike back home later!) 
From there, it is a half an hour leisurely walk along beach to Filey centre and front. 
The beach is wide and mainly deserted this weekend - perfect for energetic dogs and people who want the cobwebs blown away! 
Delightful, clean site with shop, pub, eateries as well as leisure facilities - pool, tennis courts ….

Had a lovely stay here over Xmas. Lodge was excellent and warm and the log fire was a nice addition. Good facilities and great for the beach. Pub was doing food most of the day and the shop on site was useful. The whole place is very well kept and the staff are very efficient.

Me,my wife and two dogs recently stayed at a lovely one bedroom ground floor apartment at Away resorts The Bay.The apartment was spotless and well presented,a large bedroom with bedside tables and lamps,a chest of drawers and walk in wardrobe stocked with hangers,ironing board and an iron.The bathroom was large with heated towel rail,shaving socket and bath and shower.The kitchen and living area was perfectly sized with a decent kitchen and utensils which we took advantage of,cooking three nights of our stay.The free view to was great to have as we were able to relax watching films after our 12.5 mile walk to Scarborough.The short walk to the beach took us under ten minutes passing the on site pub.Turn left at the beach and you can walk approx two miles to Filey old town,we went a little further following the coast line and ended up in Scarborough,some beautiful views,sheer cliffs and hills.lots and lots of hills.We caught the number 12 coast bus back from Scarborough,bus stop on the opposite side of the road to the train station,you’ll see a big carp pond behind the bus stop.The cost was just over £10 for us and the two dogs.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our accommodation was a perfect base.We drove to the North Yorkshire Moors and visited a place called Rievaulx,the was an old abbey which we walked around and later walked the three mile trail to Helmsley where we visited a lovely sanwhich shop called Cornercopia,excellent coronation chicken sanwhich and great pork pie platter.Would recommend a visit.

I would just like to say thank you to The Bay Team for a very enjoyable stay. The park is very well kept, The accommodation & facilities are very good , really dog friendly & great location. We had a meal in the bar/restaurant Saturday are waiter Ben was very polite & friendly. The lady that took the  archery session 4pm Sunday was very attentive & helpful.

This was my 2nd visit to The Bay complex. 
It didn’t disappoint we booked through a booking agency and the house did not let us down. 
It ticked all our boxes and the complex itself has good amenities and access to the beach. 
You feel very safe on the resort and I can’t wait to visit again.

Stayed for a week in first week in October and had a great holiday even though weather was a bit mixed. We stayed in a Superior Beach House which was excellent for what we required, all fixtures and fittings in beach house were of a very high standard. Welcome pack for our dog Eric was a great touch.
Very dog friendly site , great walk down to beach but not good if you can't manage steep inclines. We did not try many of facilities at site as we were put off by moaning from people who had used them, however food from John Paul Jones and Four Cats was of a good standard even though a bit pricey. Plenty of very good takeaways and they deliver to The Bay. 
Would definitely recommend and will visit again next time in the area,

We stayed in a apartment on the bay site. It’s very clean a lot of dogs but no mess the bar on site is expensive 
Your not too far away from the beach so if you have little ones it’s the place. It’s near the end of season so not too busy
Not too far away from other towns worth a visit

Fantastic, thought we’d booked classic apartment but got luxury! Everything provided. 10 out of 10, check in easy, apartment was spotless and included everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back for another stay

First time visit to The Bay at Filey. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and clean. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The place was extremely peaceful and well maintained. The only downside was the disappointment of the Leisure Centre that had booked me and my son on the basketball court between 4-5. Due to me turning up at 4:10 they’d given the slot to someone else. I’d definitely return to the site again though next year.

We spent New Year at The Bay with family (group of 8). We stayed in a large house on Green Close - it was clean, spacious and well appointed. We thought the village was lovely and we enjoyed the walk to the beach with the children and the dog. We also enjoyed the swimming pool facilities, although the changing areas need to be swept/cleaned regularly. On both of our visits, this area was unclean. 
Good location close to Filey. We have had a lovely 3 day family holiday, 

The only drawback for us was the John Paul Jones pub. In the run up to Christmas, I attempted to book a table online but was unable to, so I rung the telephone number on multiple occasions - no answer. I telephoned the Away Resorts reception and spoke to a lady who assured me she would pass a message on and somebody would call me to arrange a table booking - this never happened. When we arrived, no tables were available for our preferred day. The pub was also full of dogs - I counted 9 in the bar area. So we were unable to eat out which was a shame.

A lovely holiday!

We had an indulgent cabin. The bathrooms were really nice and super modern. The interior was lovely and warm. It had everything you could need like a washer/dryer, iron, fully fitted kitchen. But the sofas and bottom of beds were disgracefully stained and filthy. So much so we had to drive to Scarborough in the late evening to find somewhere that sold throws or else we couldn’t have sat down. Such a shame because otherwise the property was lovely. The tv was stuck on ITV which was frustrating. Obviously a setting we don’t know about. If you changed channel four minutes later it switched itself back. Also outside the cabins are sleepers. There are signs warning that they are slippy when wet. Lethal is a better word. Cannot understand why they keep them - sooooo dangerous. Despite all this it was a great please to spend Xmas. Would recommend but avoid anywhere with sleepers :)

Indulgent but slippery

I booked a superior beach chalet for the weekend. The reception staff were friendly and we found the chalet easily. It was dark when we arrived, it would have been helpful if an outside light was left on on the chalet because we could not find the door, lock or light switches easily. The railway sleeper outside on the drive were also very slippery when wet or icy. When walking round the park I also discovered some railway slerpers were rotten and potentially dangerous.

The provisions in the chalet were limited, compared to other cottages holidays. There was no toilet roll (1 would have been nice) towels or baking tray. The kichen equipment was rubbish, cooking anything would have been difficult. I called guest services, to ask about towels, to be informed Haven do not supply towels. As I had not booked Haven I have no idea what they do, or why this was relevant. If I had of been aware towels were not provided I would have packed some. Better information on what is and is not provided before arrival would be very helpful. Especially for essential like towels. I checked the website before leaving home and it was not clear. I think they do it so they can charge unprepared guests to hire towels. 

On the plus side the chalet had WiFi, something we were not expecting. It also had an XBox, books and games. I now understand that each chalet varies considerably because they are privately owned, so if we booked again we may get something very different. I wanted to book a 2 bed with a double and a twin, but it was not clear which apartments had twin beds and which once had bunk beds. 

I have 2 dogs and they love to explore and The Bay was perfect for them. It was great walking them around the site and down to the beach. The location was perfect for us. When you leave the park to go to the beach we had to dodge the dog poo  it was everywhere. The bottom part of the path to the beach is steep and very uneven. Good sturdy shoes are recommended. 

We did not eat in the pub because reviews on here were not great, but it was nice inside for a drink. The pub is also dog friendly.  

I would book the park again, it's a really nice location, very clean and tidy and the accomadation was spotless and very comfortable. But next time I will pack towels!

Nice......... but no towels!

Fab time highly recommend

Just returned from a 3 night stay in a 2 bedroom comfort cottage. Having stayed in the area many times it made a nice change being in a house rather than a caravan and to have a bath.

Doggy guest was spoiled with a goody bag which contained a bag of treats, ball on rope toy, a collapsible water bowl and a blanket...very impressed with this!

Had a lovely meal at the onsite pub and also enjoyed a stroll along the beach to Filey and back. There is a steep slope at the end but it is a breeze compared to the hill at Reighton Sands as it's more gradual until the last bit.

My only niggles were....some items lacking in the kitchen...no spatula, only 2 side plates, only a couple of teaspoons. Only minor but they could do with running an inventory of items that are available. Also the blind in the kitchen was thick of dirt...could have done with a bit of a wipe down.

Would definitely come back, such a great place to chill out and not as crazy as the Haven & Parkdean sites



Comfort Cottage

The superior beach house was lovely. Bright and airy with lovely furnishings. There was 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, lots of hanging space and the kitchen was well equipped. There was also a dog goodie bag left for our dog which is a lovely touch.
We were going to book the summer but none of the outside areas on any properties looked like they were enclosed, so as the rules state dogs must always be on a lead, we wouldn’t be able to leave the patio doors open or sit outside without the dog being held on her lead, which seemed quite odd.

Clean good value Apartment. 
Not enough mugs, dishwasher went  on after every meal.
Enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach  into Filey .
So peaceful and quiet, eventhough we were on the main area and ground floor.

Great place for a holiday

I have stayed at the Bay on a previous occasion last September and really enjoyed it. 
We booked for a 3 night stsy over the New Year period in a superior house overlooking the sea 
The views were amazing   and the accommodation was big and spacious.  
However the home itself is in need of some TLC, sofa was old and dirty , carpets looked like they needed a deep clean , some radiators were rusty and peeling, the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. Such a shame as the home could be absolutely beautiful 
Outside there is lots of dog faeces on the grassy area ( people just let there dogs run about off lead ) . Kids running around the site with duvets wrapped around them also kids running about on the sofas inside the pub ( parents just letting them do what they want ) 
The Gym on site is good
