We stayed here for an 80th birthday family celebration and what a wonderful place it was! The location is fantastic with a short walk into the centre of Bowness with its plethora of pubs, cafes and eateries. The house itself was perfect and all of the bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms was really helpful. We loved the huge dining table allowing us to enjoy family meals all together, the lounge areas were stylish but comfy and we loved using the hot tub. The place was spacious and absolutely spotless. We had an issue with the hot water, reported it and within 20mins someone appeared at the door and sorted it out for us straight away. A brilliant place. Highly recommended.

We stayed last week for a bit of a reunion and it was a great spot for the family - close to Windermere and Bowness, parking, walking distance to the shops/train station and a great garden. The smaller 'butlers' kitchen is a great bonus, and the coffee was lovely. We got lucky with the weather and made the most of the hot tub and BBQ! (But bring charcoal.) We were a bit worried about the review regarding bugs but the team reassured us there were no issues and we didn't see a fly the entire time we were there!

Lovely cosy guesthouse situated half way between Bowness and Windermere and easy walking distance either way. Bus stop close by too. Good COVID safety is in practice here. They are most welcoming and easy to talk too to offer advice on walks or restaurants etc. Continental breakfast was great with plenty of options, and all freshly prepared too. Would definitely recommend a stay here and will 100% consider a stay here in the future

The B&B is located in between Bowness and Windermere Villages around 5-10 walk to each. 

We found the B&B to be Covid friendly with deep cleaning evident and the requirement to wear face mask while in all communal areas. 

The lovely couple who run the place made us feel very welcome and provided a continental Breakfast to our door each morning with a good selection of choice.

The rooms were spacious and clean with all the necessities.

We would/will most definitely return.

Great stay, covid safety practices done well. Nice to have breakfast in the room although be aware it’s a continental style one rather than the normal traditional fry ups.( no complaints from us)

We stayed in room 4 which is the room with a four poster bed at the front. Beautiful room. 

Between both Bowness and Windermere towns so easy access to both.

Parking was full on arrival there isn’t much space ( like most places) and we had to park nearby but not a problem. 


After a little research selected Rosemount for a short much needed break for some fresh air & a couple of days for some nice walks. 
Excellent communication with owners before leaving just to make sure everything was ok due to recent local restrictions where I live. 
Everything was fine & checked & I was provided with instructions to let myself in & to the room upon arrival to try & ensure contactless arrival. Owners had gone to great trouble with attention to all details to ensure maximum safety. Breakfast lists were in room for duration of stay to be handed in with your choices to be brought to each guests doors at requested time. Rooms are not entered into by staff during duration of stay & bags provided for rubbish & change of linen etc. & everything works well. 
Premises itself is a typical large Lakeland guest house in a good location on Lake Road midway between Bowness & Windermere. 
Everything kept spotlessly clean & large bed was very comfortable & I slept very well during my 3 night stay. Shower cubicle was a little small but no major issue.
During a couple of brief chats I found the owners to be very friendly & only too willing to help with any local information such as dining out etc.
I would certainly recommend Rosemount as a Guest House choice & will hopefully go back during less strange times.

We stayed for 4 nights and would highly recommend, Andrew and Louise are lovely and very welcoming. Rooms are beautifully decorated, great breakfast. Very central for walking to Windermere and Bowness with plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. We will definitely stay again.

Lovely double bed big bathroom loads of room small single in smaller room and see in photos.what a find will return here again I hope my photos does this place justice as it's so nice hosts nice and friendly nothing to much trouble keen to help anice 10 minutes walk up to windermere Town a good 10 minutes to the bottom for the lake would recommend

This is a very lovely guesthouse with beautifully decorated bedrooms.
It located just 12mns  walk from Windermere train station, and 10mns from the Lake promenade.
If I ever visit the Lake District again, I already know i will stay at the Rosemount guesthouse again!!!!

My girlfriend and I stopped at the Rosemount for the first weekend after reopening and absolutely love it. Everything was spotless and the hosts were very welcoming and felt completely safe, good safeguards in place in response to Covid 19.

The location was brilliant, everything is within a 10 minute walk.

It truly felt like a home away from home and we can’t wait to return in the future. Excellent value for money and one of the best places we’ve stayed.

We booked Rosemount for two February nights based on Tripadvisor reviews.  We were not disappointed.  The room was lovely: perfectly clean and comfortable.  The en-suite was exceptionally well done and immaculate.  Breakfast was to die for.  In fact I asked for English mustard the first morning and was told unfortunately there was none.  However, by the next morning a jar of the finest English mustard had appeared.  No fuss, just exemplary proactive service.  Thank you so much.  We'll be back!
