Fort Motel

Fort Motel is always lovely and welcoming. Just like a lovely home. The facilities have been very well maintained. The gardens are delightful filled with little chattering birds. The staff are all too pleased to be of service. What more could you ask for? Fort Motel remains my number one choice to stay in Fort Portal.

Recently renovated, Good Service, Excellent views of the Mountain, Lovely Gardens, Pizza Restaurant, Swimming Pool, Amazing Steam and Sauna.

Highly recommend this Motel for its overall setting and performance.

Very good accommodation and food all at reasonable rates. 
I was in love with their sauna! Though small but provides a good service.
Friendly surroundings and cheerful people. Keep it up.

Clean and spacy room with comfortable bed.
Bed with clamboo to keep you safe from eventual malaria mosquito's
I did not spot any mosquito's in the hotel but still used the mosquito net.
Not all rooms have airco, so if you need airco, don't forget to ask when making your reservation.
The food and service are very good. 
The garden and swimming pool are beautiful  and very well maintained.
The pictures on the website give a good impression of the hotel.

The rooms here are clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The hotel grounds themselves are very pristine and well managed. The location boasted a gorgeous view along with easy access to restaurants in Fort Portal. The restaurant serves good food both for breakfast and evening meals. Doreen greeted us as soon as we came and really did a wonderful job taking care of the needs we had, and overall the service is quite good. 

We stayed at Fort Motel for 2 nights over the weekend and what we got from the whole experience was that this facility was a perfect haven.

From customer service to the food, grounds and their impressive rooms... everything had its attention to detail. My room had more than other hotels I've stayed at in Uganda starting with a kettle, small fridge, a microwave, a television with several channels, a safe, and a view of their garden and mountains at a distance. 

The welcoming restaurant is so bright and full of lively colors. Everything was clean and sophisticated The hotel has a steam room which was so very nice to relax in. It also has a sauna, a nice swimming pool, a gym, and the bar has a pool table.  If you have kids, they even have a full playground at the far end of the property past the water fountain sculpture.

Staff in both reception and the restaurant were so very pleasant and always with a smile on their face... we were impressed and completely comfortable. Everything at Fort Motel was simple classy and top-notch service.

And let's talk about food… the breakfast was far from continental. It was pretty much a full board breakfast. The waitress takes your order of eggs, toast, meat options (like bacon or sausages), potatoes, etc. to include what's already displayed while you wait for hot dish.
The soup, oh the soup :), the lunch and dinner were all very yummy... presentation again, very classy and plentiful. 

Everything was handled in a very timely manner. Fort Motel will always be our go-to hotel when we go out west for safaris and adventures. We highly recommend Fort Motel to any age group. Kudos to management for its attention to detail and getting it all right.

Fantastic hotel / facilities beautiful pool good food delightful staff big rooms well appointed.  Such a pleasant surprise after coming down from the Ruwenzori Mountains trekking x 10 days high recommend one of the best hotels we stayed at in the 23 days of our travelling in Uganda

Was in Fort Portal and dropped in to say hello. I found the place absolutely delightful, colourful, warm, exciting and inviting. The kind of pull that makes you want to collect your luggage from the other hotel right away. Really happy to see the Motel holding its own in the face of big competition. 

Very nice and beautiful hotel. It is very convenient, near the golf club. It's very clean and has very friendly and helpful staff. Area of improvement is the limited menu and the waiting time for ordered meals.

Outstanding Stay/Experience

We spent one night at the Fort Motel on our way to Kibale Forest to see chimpanzees in the wild. Our room was comfortable & well equipped but there were no mosquito nets.
The service was good & the restaurant food was very good. The chef kindly packed our breakfast  on request as we had an early start. A pleasant stay.
