Venosa Beach Resort & Spa

We just finished a 7 night stay here & honestly it is one of the best all inclusive resorts I’ve been to!! I will 100% be back! Pros: - Food was amazing!!! They literally are feeding you almost 24/7. And every night they had a different theme like seafood, meat, etc. lots of variety. The pool buffet was great. All the food was so fresh! Ice cream was amazing quality and they even had someone riding a bike handing out ice cream during the day by the pool. - Staff were all so nice. It makes a huge difference in atmosphere when staff are happy & not overworked/miserable and they were constantly cleaning. By the pool, in eating areas etc. I thought it was a really clean resort overall. - Berik makes AMAZING cocktails in the lounge bar & beach bar. Abraham is also so kind & made our holiday so enjoyable. - Location is absolutely stunning. The pier by the hotel is so nice to walk on at night time. And the beach is right there with sun loungers and cabanas that you can pay for table service. And water sports like jet skis and boat activities you can pay for. - The rooms were a good size (we were a family of 2 adults & 1 child) so a king bed and a sofa bed. The bed was so comfortable. The best I’ve had in a resort. And we also had a corner room with two balconies! One was a huge balcony with sun loungers. The shower was so good too. - Entertainment was a hit or miss some nights but one night they put on a “White Party” (wear white) and it was so much fun! It was like being at a concert/rave!! The amphitheater is huge, sound system too is the best I’ve seen. - Animation team are so amazing at keeping the vibes high during the day by the pool with dancing, games etc and at night! - The water slide park was amazing!! So much fun! And they had a splash area for little kids and a spade park. Cons: - There’s not much for kids to do at night after mini disco. If they had the playground lit or even some giant chess pieces or set up a football pitch it would be better. There is one ping pong table and the arcade is inside but the tennis & basketball court are far away from the pool/bar area. - There isn’t a bar next to the entertainment area so you need to get your drinks inside or walk a ways to the beach or pool bar. Drinks are served in flimsy paper cups that leak and fall apart. I would recommend bringing a Stanley cup (or similar) and asking for ice in it with your drink so it stays cold. Maybe even bring plastic cups for drinks at night. - Sometimes the cocktails were so strong they blew your head off! - Mini bar person knocks on door every morning at 10am. Sometimes waking us after a late night. It’s a good service to refill your fridge (ours wasn’t very cold) but maybe they could have the maid restock or have some drinks available for you to refill when you need? - The AC was tricky to get the hang of. Either way too cold or turning off. We got the hang of it by leaving it on auto and a set temp. - The entertainment the first few nights we were there was really lacklustre particularly the band from Cuba and the Turkish night. The fire show, white party and karaoke night was so fun! - There was one night after we left the beach bar, it was around 1 am and the toilets were really needing to be cleaned. At night the toilets have sensor lights too that turn off every 5 secs. - The resort isn’t near any shops, restaurants, etc. I took a taxi 10 mins to the pharmacy. If you’d like to be able to walk out the resort into some action maybe not for you. We didn’t care and asked reception for a taxi to a restaurant and they arranged a free taxi that’s linked with the restaurant (just tip taxi driver) to a restaurant (Topkapi) and which was a great night! Overall an amazing experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. Thank you so much to everyone at Venosa!! We will be back!!
