Caribbean Tourist Villa Guest House

I went to the port os spain in august 2017. i stayed at the carribean tourist villa
. i loved it. all the staff was very friendly. the first day our a/c wasn't working. so,
later that day they were happy to give us another room. what's good about this place
is that there are restaraunts near by. my wife and i took a taxi to town and were able
to walk back to the villa. there is a restaraunt called relish just a couple of streets
over where you can get breakfast of a buffet lunch. the rates are good. it was only about 
a little over fifty bucks a day. they have free coffee in the morning. it has a nice little
swimming pool. that's where i'll stay if i go back.

Nice guesthouse in the center of the city. Easy to walk into town. We had a standard double room for 1 night. Is was very small, but all was there. Good service (taxi and information). Nice staff. Several outside areas to sit (balcony, garden, pool) so you don’t need a large room. Price, even during carnival, was very low.

I stayed here for first time. Not bad at all.
Very clan place. Good value for price.
My only disappointment was that they dis not have anything to eat, but that was not a problem because they are 5 minutes walk from the main Avenue where all bars and restaurants are.
Very convenient.

Just needed a night to crash with my brothers. There was more sleeping space( 2 queen and a bunk bed)  than living space (which was fine). The rooms could do with a little cosmetic updating. Beds were comfortable and clean. Young staff but very helpful and pleasant. Simple hotel with some basic amenities that would have been good, if we had use for them ( kitchen, laundry, breakfast, living room).

VACATION IN PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD

Perfect for what it is

First time in Trinidad. Very good

The borders were close due to Covid 19 the air line refunded my nonrefundable flight HOWEVER this hotel did not want to offer me a credit for a later stay WHEN PEOPLE WERE FREE TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. Although I was not asking for my money back. I think this was very dishonest. I will never recommend this place to anyone. however I will be in Trinidad as soon as I can.. DO not stay here I only booked because during the Carnival you don't really stay inside just change and go.

Spent 2 nights here the place is average the bathroom is small and the ladies on the front desk that work during the day all need to go on a course in customer services. learn how to talk to people your the face of the business you are representing sour face and hostile tone is not a good look.
The notes all of the place are necessary. notes above the lights switch, on the back of the bedroom door, on the bathroom door, on the closet door make the place look tacky. put everything in a welcome pack and leave it on the bed for visitors.
As for the key business you leave the property you have to hand in the key at reception, you come back you have to ask for it back the place is not that great again another thing that is unnecessary your guest do not need monitoring on that level.
Spray your establishment the amount of bites i received within the two nights stay were ridiculous.
I will not be staying here again nor will i be recommending anybody else to stay here either

ALOT TO BE DESIRED

Room had a mildew smell throughout my 4 night stay.  There were noisy room guests which made my sleep very uncomfortable too.  The television reception in the room was also very distorted; clearly some upgrade is urgently needed at this guest house.  And lastly when I was leaving no security escorted me out at 4:00am on the scary street of Port of Spain.  Thankfully my taxi driver drove up the curb and assisted me.

What can I say about this place,first of all the owner should not even be in business he has no skills,the place is a dump,I’ll never go there again,if you have no where else to go maybe..we booked a king room in August 2017 for Carnival,when we arrived February 5,they put us in this really crappy room,we left after 2 days..

Disgusted

When we arrived at 10pm they had messed up bookings - they let a guest staying in our room extend his visit which meant they didn't have enough beds - I slept on sofa cushions on the floor. We had no other choice because it was late and as 7 foreign girls it was not safe to walk around and find another hotel. Yet we still had to pay for both rooms despite me sleeping on the floor. 

The supervisor was unhelpful and stubborn, and would not let us stay in the spare room because it was dirty, even though we said this was better. 

The next morning our room was still not prepared by 11am so we decided to go back to Tobago where we have just come from. We still had to pay a check out fee of 210TT.

Do not stay here if you want a relaxing holiday, worst service we have ever come across. What's more bedrooms are very small and you have to pay to use the kitchen.


Slept on the floor 

My husband and I stayed there very unprofessional staff the manager has no manners the place is the absolute worst they should close down that 💩💩💩 hole I would never advise anyone to stay there I could not wait to leave.
