The hotel has not been doing so much since it was reopened.:-(For the prices, no kettle, no tea, no coffee, no water bottle in the room. The room wasn't made every day.:-(We had to claim the hand soap... Little advice, quickly change the dark curtains that aren't at all so in the morning, big day in the room at 7am (in April so I imagine you in the summer) No ski room, we leave the skis in the hall. Otherwise, the room was clean at my arrival, bed in excellent condition, quiet, staff (or bosses) cordialized.

He's missing the basics.

This is a simple, no frills hotel but a perfect base for a one night stay before or after the hike to the famous Zinal glacier cave. The start of the trail is only a five minute walk away from the hotel which is another five minutes away from the center of the village. The staff was very attentive from arrival until departure, always smiling and offering help whenever needed. The rooms are modestly furnished and a coffee cup and a water heater would definitely be welcome additions to prepare a morning coffee but the views certainly make up for it. The breakfast was a very good start to the hiking day with cold cuts, cheeses, eggs and really good birchermüsli. If there are people with intolerances/ allergies in the group, probably best to pre-order or let the hotel know. Given average Swiss prices, it was also good value for money, would happily return if in Zinal again.

Good base for the famous Zinal glacier cave hike

It's a small establishment in the back of the valley, with a large terrace and a great view! The team is really friendly, the half boarding house at night is perfect, the extra lunch buffet, and our room for three was very convenient.

What a welcome!

We had a very nice time at Valérie's. She manages a very good young, motivated and dynamic team. We really liked the hospitality, kindness, and peacefulness of the place. The half boarding house was a family with a high level of innovation, which surprised our papillae. The New Year's meal was just amazing, we were very surprised by the creativity of the kitchen. Thank you and Happy New Year 2022!

Cinnamon and grapefruit

The service was very long (+35 min) to serve two omelets with a salad. Do not be wary of making a remark, even constructive, you could upset the service. Even for such a simple dish it was poor.

Mediocre with a big M

If you’re coming by public transport, the hotel is very easy to find: climb on to the bus heading for Zinal and just stay on until the end. The bus stop is about 100 metres from the hotel.

We were in Room 13 for one night. It’s a good sized, cozy room with plenty of windows looking out onto the most fantastic of mountain views. The room has a big terrace looking out onto that view that we didn’t have enough time to make the most of, unfortunately. The bathroom had everything we needed but could have done with a bit more light. Nice touches: a few sweets in the room. WIFI was nice and strong.

We went for half board and the restaurant was welcoming on a cold winter’s night, with a fire warming the comfortable dining room. Dinner was hearty fare, ideal after a day in the snow: vegetable soup, cordon bleu with ratatouille, and apple crumble for dessert, all home made. The breakfast buffet was good, and the coffee, from a good machine, was excellent and made fresh for you.

Valérie, the manager, was everywhere: at reception, serving dinner and breakfast, humming away to the ever-present background music, working extremely hard to make sure her guests were happy. We certainly were.

A room with a sublime view

Very clean, super friendly service, great breakfast buffet, just minutes on foot to the village center. Some rooms have balconies with fantastic views, and the terrace is a good place to rest and watch.

Cosy and warmly welcoming

We stayed at the hotel Les Bouquetins because we wanted to do the Roc de la Vache walk one more time (4th). Because we have stayed in this part of the Val d' Anniviers we knew to ask for a balcony which was South facing. The room was very comfortable with sitting area and en-suite bathroom, including the bonus of the best view in the whole of Zinal overlooked by the Roc. The Cicerone Guide to Walking in the Valais describes the Roc de la Vache walk as the one to do as it has everything. It is strenuous up to eight hours but worth every minute. We could not have been more happy with our choice of hotel as it was an excellent base to do other walks in preparation for the big one. The staff were excellent and offered plenty of advice and help including providing free cable car tickets.They offer a first class breakfast and a good diner leaning towards cheese based dishes. They have a variety of savoury and sweet crepes with a special tart of the day.

Best location ever

Stayed here while hiking the Haute Route.  We arrived on the day of the Sierre-Zinal race so the staff were very busy but we were greeted courteously and luckily our rooms were ready even though we were checking in a bit early.  We booked a triple room and received a proper triple room - not just a double room with a cot shoved in, as is sometimes the case.  My daughter loved the fluffy duvets and enormous pillows and we all slept very well.  We asked for an early breakfast as we wanted to get an early start on the next day's hiking - that was no problem and the breakfast provided was hearty and extensive.  Very clean.  Recommended.

Lovely place, great service

We ate at Valérie's new restaurant tenant.We were with the gourmet passport and we ate very well.A beef net for me perfectly cooked with vegetables and fries.My husband ate a cream chicken mince with rice and very good vegetables as well.A little caramel butter crepe for dessert and dinner ended well.Valérie took over the restaurant on 15.12.2017.She's Norman and super nice to her colleague too.Go there you'll be delighted.
