Hoby Gård Bed & Breakfast

Firstly, be under no illusions, this is a fairly basic B&B. There's no sauna/swimming pool or any of that stuff. But it IS clean, comfortable and quiet (well, we were the only guests as it was way out of season). The owner could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful, and beautifully presented, with questions such as "How thick do you want your porridge?" If you're looking for good basic accommodation  that's clean and welcoming, with an owner that wants you to be happy here, then this is all of that. Would definitely stay again.

This B&B has a great, although rural, location if you want to experience Österlen by car. There are lots of sights, museums, beaches and antiques shopping nearby. The place is really small with just a few rooms, some of them with bathrooms. The standard is really simple but functional, our room had no decorations or curtains, just blinds. Beds were comfy but sleepers who need absolute silence should beware: a road passes just outside the B&B. Hostess was helpful but a little distracted. Breakfast was OK.

Hostel-like B&B in beautiful surroundings

The owner said she had run the bed and breakfast for more than 10 years. This does not show. In the beginning she gave an introduction which was awkward and then we signed some papers in the awkward placed reception area, then we paid in the kitchen. Strange process. The rooms had poor ventilation so it was too hot. The breakfast was probably the worst out of all bed and breakfasts we've stayed at. Bad coffee old and low quality bread cheap ham and cheese. Not much fruit. The area itself is worth staying in since its a beautiful example of the countryside. But the bed and breakfast needs rethinking. 

Great location, poor standard

Rebecca who runs this airbnb is an unpleasant host with no sense of service. I had to cancel my booking with short notice, and she refused to refund even a percentage of the amount, despite having both reserved and cancelled within 2 hrs.  

In addition to that, the standard of the rooms are very poor and spartan - it's more of a hostel with cheap interior and plastic floors. This is not the traditional B&B it claims to be, and you are much better off spending your money elsewhere.
