STF Vandrarhem Malmï¿½ Eriksfï¿½lt

I stayed at STF Malmö Eriksfalt hostel with a group of friends and we were all very happy with our accommodation. The staff is really friendly and helpful with all kinds of information, my room turned to the garden and it was spacious and quiet. This is not a downtown hostel but we had no problem catching a bus, you also have the Mobilia mall in walking distance for some groceries shopping. I recommend this to everyone, groups, couples or an individual who don't mind not being completely downtown. Some might need to know that there are no elevators in the building.

Hostel is not on the street.  You can't see the hostel from the street.  You have go down the drive way to find the hostel.  The kitchen was small for the size of the hostel.  There is a big food store less than two blocks away.  The buses to the downtown are also less than two blocks away.  The rooms are clean and comfortable.  The rooms are fairly large.  Cars are in a gated parking lot.  The gate is locked by hostel guests not the staff of the hostel.  It is only as secure as the other guest make it.

Malmo hostel

Far from the coast. Only one pub near (nice one though), 800m by foot to shopping mall. Like at all hostels in Sweden extra cash for linen or towels: 120 Skr (linen). Nice kitchen for self cooking. Room not so clean but ok. If your room is on 3rd floor you have to shower in the basement. Tv room in basement. 

Not for long

If you are looking for a centrally located hostel, this is NOT the place. The hostel is located far from the city center, off of a busy highway with no cafes or restaurants in the area. This would be well-suited for a traveller with a car who wanted to pull of the road to rest a night, but not for a more urban traveller who prefers the energy and amenities of the city center. 

While it is one of the cheapest hostels in expensive Malmo, the staff was still kind and were able to offer direction to the hostel from the airport. However, the wifi signal was weak and did not reach our room.  

Also, despite its relatively  high price, we were still expected to sweep and dust our own room and empty the trash can in the morning before checking out.  We also paid for our own bed linen and towel. 

We were also disappointed to learn that though we had booked a room with a private bathroom, there was in fact only a toilette and no shower. We had to go 3 floors down to the basement to shower.

Poor Location, Weak Wifi

Fiendyl staff. Big rooms. Small kiosk.Toilet in room. No needs tokens for shower
Parking is paid, but advantage is that is fenced . Showers are located only in one floor. Low signal of wi-fi in rooms. Maybe little bit difficult to find them.
