We spent 3 nights here and were totally spoilt by hosts Duli and Gayan. What a beautiful caring family. The curry dinners were the best we experienced in Sri Lanka. 
Rooms clean and spacious and the location is perfect as it is an easy walk to the centre, Little Adam’s Peak and the top of the beautiful waterfall that you can see from the balcony. 
We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to others.

One of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka. The owner Duli and her husband went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. The room is spacious although it doesn't have AC and I could not open the windows at night it has a fan. The guest house is about 3 minutes away from Ella center by talk talk and about 10 minutes walk. Really close to the start of Ella rock hike & you can reach the Nine Arch Bridge on foot as well if you're up for an upward hike>

I've had the best egg hoppers at this location which was offered to me with breakfast but to my surprise the owner went again into the kitchen and prepared another one for me as I love them so much. The owner did also provide me with a map that he drew by hand to get me to Ella rock which I found very sweet so I don't get lost as well.

Sitting by the terrace is so relaxing and the views are incredible. I would totally recommend you to stay here!

Amazing hosts, so welcoming and helpful, it’s hard to come by such wonderful people. Great beautiful and quiet location nestled in the mountains yet a comfortable walking distance from the quaint restaurant/shop area and from all the hikes. Large portions of local breakfast included in the stay. Excellent price to quality. This place made such a difference in our two month stay in Sri Lanka, even though we only stayed for a few days. Me and my partner visited Sri Lanka for 4 weeks, staying in 13 different accommodations varying from guesthouses to 5 star hotels and Welcome Inn was our favourite stay! Gayan is the most fantastic host, incredibly friendly & accommodating and an amazing cook - THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD IN SRI LANKA. The Egg hoppers for breakfast was our favourite and the curries each night for dinner were varied and delicious. We stayed for 3 nights and had dinner here instead of in Ella every night. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. We welcomed the fridge in the bedroom allowing us to keep drinks cool as each evening we enjoyed a cold beer on the veranda of which Gayan would kindly provide us with glasses. The view from the veranda was stunning, you can see little adams peak, Ella Gap and Ella Rock, in the morning you can watch the sun rise. Close by you can hike and Gayan will even provide directions and maps for you. Him and his wife even did some laundry for us free of charge. I can't recommend this place more and I would 100% visit again in the future

I have recently spent 7 nights at Welcome Inn. Gayam and Duli are great hosts - from providing delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts to wonderful rice and curry dinners in the evening. It is almost at the end of a narrow road so it is incredibly peaceful and quiet - the only sounds are the gushing waterfall and frogs when it rains. However, if you are wanting something less quiet, it is a 10min walk into town either on the road or the railway line.

This was warm and genuine hospitality at its best. Run by a lovely young couple this place was my favorite stay in Sri Lanka. They couldn't do enough for us. Breakfasts and dinner were fantastic. Very comfortable, clean room and patio with a view we never got tired of. Wildlife too. Situated 10 minutes walk from Ella town centre it was so peaceful and relaxing we could have stayed much longer.

Beautiful little property, amazing views and Gayan made the stay so much better with his kind hospitality - tea and cakes on arrival, delicious breakfasts each morning and an all round awesome service. Only 10mins walk up to the town, very peaceful setting and fun to watch the monkeys swinging in front of the balcony!

Best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The surrounding hills are stunning, and you wake up to these views on your balcony. 
The host was just lovely, he couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was included and delicious. A Tuk tuk into town could be arranged by the host, takes five minutes and cost 200 rupees. It’s worth staying here rather than in town for the views alone, and it’s very peaceful. 

The view! Every time I stepped outside, I was floored. The photos are so accurate. It is such a peaceful location and yet only about 12 minute walk to Ella town. The room was very light, spacious and comfortable. Great wifi and water heats up after a minute or two. 
Gayan was such a welcoming host. He was always checking whether I wanted any drinks and drew maps for various hikes in the area. Breakfast was out of this world, and he took into account no gluten. Over my time there, I had string hoppers with an amazing coconut curry, egg hoppers and coconut sambal, and an omelette with coconut roti, each day with a huge tropical fruit salad. It sets you up well for a day of walking!

Small, two room inn just 15 minutes from main street in Ella with amazing views.  The owner was extremely helpful and attentive, he drew maps by hand of where we wanted to go such as the viaduct and Little Adams peak. Breakfast on the terrace was the best we had in Sri Lanka - buffalo curd, palm treacle, fruit, toast and eggs. Highly recommend a stay here.
