The Castle

I chose this hotel because it is close to the airport and after a long exhausting flight I knew I would want a nice cozy bed. Accosted by taxi drivers AR the airport I knew I wanted a less expensive tuk tuk. One guy told me I have a tuk tuk let's go, well he lied it was a taxi. He told me he would give a food price. Finding the hotel is tricky from hotels.com so he called the hotel and knew where to go. It is also known as Ceylon villa. I paid 700 rps, it should be around 3-400 at most but I was tired and for a couple dollars who cares. Once at the hotel, it is so clean and nice and they make you feel right at home. I was welcomed with a very nice drink and warm smiles. Buses are convenient to go to Colombo or Nehambo. I love Street food and a 2 minute walk to the corner is this guy cooking in the window. He'll make you great fresh food. You can grab some spicy veggie roti amd other options. I'd rather stay here than in downtown Colombo. It's a quiet neighborhood and you can hear the planes but that doesn't bother me.4.5 stars
