Nice place to stay, with really responsive and welcoming staff and owner. We've stayed here only one night, but tris was a pretty good stay. Room was big and bathroom clean and well equipped. We didn't have an AC room, but the room was not that hot, especially if the fan was turned on. From a location point of view, this is walkable distance to the bus station (we've done it carrying backpacks as well and it was quite OK) and around 1km from the Fort. Last but not least, the price was one of the best we found for that period in Galle, so I recommend this stay to anyone who wants a place that's not very expensive, pretty close to Fort, but doesn't want to spend tons of money on it.
