White Villa

This is my favorite place to stay in Colombo. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms with AC and nice shower/bathroom. But best of all it's so quite. Just off the main street of Dehiwala and far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Colombo and the Galle Face area. Also not as many other tourists as Mt Levinia. But you are close enough to these areas to get there easily in a tuk tuk or taxi. I highly recommend this place if you value relaxation and comfort.

The two of us girls from Germany had an amazing experience at the white villa in Colombo. The location is pretty close to the city centre but the surrounding is this still more quiet and you feel safe. Also, we got a pick up from the airport and they driver was on time and even waited for for so long for us because our flight got a delay. The room is really clean and comfortable. Even with things like finding a laundry service, the family was really helpful and did even pick up our laundry. We are very happy, that we had such a great accomondation in Colombo with even very fast WiFi connection. All in all, we recommend the house to travellers like us! 

Compared to the other hotels this is a very cheap place to stay.me and my family felt like our own home. The owner treated us really nicely. They came to pick us from the airport on time. The price was also worth. The house is clean and quiet. The rooms are superb. The hot water works well,the a/c is also good and the wifi works perfectly. Care taker is very helpful. They planned us a good tour. There are good food shops and supermarket around white villa. The owners are really honest because when I left my wallet they spared the time to give it back to us. Thank you so much. I will always prefer this place to stay in Sri Lanka.

White Villa for accommodation in Colombo would be my choice again and again and again 

The location is close to every need - (walking distance about 6 minutes) and Mount Lavinia beach is about 10 min drive by local Tuk Tuk (aplenty)

White Villa has a private and quiet and delightful lush tropical garden to sit in whilst eating or to have a cup of tea or chatting or simply just snoozing, ... And there is a well equipped kitchen And refrigerator, - All generously and graciously offered

It is a Home atmosphere here with personalised service - not a large impersonal Hotel atmosphere, ..... in fact the hospitality and amicable welcoming with smiles goes far beyond the normal - The manager Kumara and his son Binirah amazed me with their abundant generous caring and demonstrations to fulfil my needs - and with eagerness!

Being a vegetarian and asking for advice of how to fulfil my vegetarian needs locally was promptly followed by an accompanied personal walking tour of the local shops - (my verbal resistance fell upon deaf ears - but with a big smile and vigorous enthusiasm whilst escorting me to the gate to personally take me to the local shops six to seven minutes walk away - And in the adventure I also discovered one of the best stocked large super markets I have seen in a long time.

All encounters  ..…from the first shuttle taxi pick up at the airport (myself being late) was - and still is greeted with big friendly smiles 

So if you are looking for very clean accommodation that offers a very friendly and amicable environment in a quiet peaceful and lush delightful garden setting close to all amenities and use of Kitchen - and at a fair reasonable price? - don't look any further

Don't Confuse White Villa With White House!

Sorry to say but room number 5 at this villa was so disappointing that instead of 2 nights i booked there i stayed only 1 and run away without even asking the money back for second night.. I can endure many things but to sleep with ants in dirty room u can not... Ants were everywhere in bed, all over room and all over bathroom too..i was given clean towel that was also dirty i did not use.. I will not even mention the thin plastic wall so you heard every passing person on the street.. Bed was so hard that i put cover under me and i covered with my beach scarf for AC workes well at least something.. U could not sleep at all.. I just had to run away.. Sorry to have such bad experience that i had to write and show you photos so you all know..

Worst room i ever experienced

We booked a AC room in this villa as per the luxurious photos they have uploaded in Booking.com. Lol for this price I knew it’s not going to be luxury, and we didn’t expect that much luxury. 

BUT REALLY TERRIBLE THAT AC DIDNT WORK IN OUR ROOM AT ALL. We reached there late evening and it’s already late to find some other hotel. Even through AC is not working, they were not flexible to reduced the price. 

This is not a suitable place if your planning to have rest or relax time. Owner troubling all the time 

AC Room without AC, don’t be fake 

I stayed here on the 20th October 2015 for a night. It was quite ok until there was a misunderstanding with a taxi that I had booked to Weligama through the hotel. Long story short my credit card was charged with additional 100$ to what I had already payed for the taxi without even mentioning it. And they somehow managed to do this because I'd booked through booking.com (where you have to leave your credit card details to be able to book). Ruthless and unbelievable, that's why I do not recommend to stay here at all!!!
