Platinum Resort

This is a good place to stay with family when you visit Anuradhapura. staff is very friendly and helpfull. this is my 2nd stay at Platinum resort. Rooms are clean but garden was not maintained may be due to bad whether (Rainy).   

We stayed at Platinum Resort a couple of days back and found the place to be an absolute gem! Main plus is that it is very very affordable! (3500LKR for a triple AC room!!!) The rooms are not 5 star hotel type, just basic, but very clean and spacious. Bed linen are clean and comfortable. AC works very well. The bathroom is very spacious, again very clean, has hot water although unnecessary for the climate. 

There's a big car park at the entrance, the staff is young and very polite and helpful. The food is reasonable. We had some good Srilankan cuisine. Its nice touch that there's a water dispenser at the open restaurant that you could use anytime. 

What we loved most about the place is its outdoor area! They have many benches and huts and a cool children's play area with swings, hammocks etc. Us adults maybe used the area more than the kids ;) 

There's a small gate which leads to the gigantic 'Nuwara wewa'. You could walk on to the tank and view the amazing sun set! 

LOVED everything about this place! This is definitely our favourite place to stay in Anuradhapura.

Its easy to find on google maps and is facing the old road to the city, so very convenient as well. 

Hope the management will continue to maintain standards and cleanliness.

I think this will be the place we stay at every time we visit this city. 

They have clean and comfy rooms with a good AC and hot water in the shower. The staff is friendly and obliging. 

Anuradhapura is not a place where I'd want to spend the day lounging at the hotel. I want to be out exploring as much as possible; and for that, this hotel ticked all my boxes - clean, safe, ample parking, good food, air conditioning, and is very reasonably priced. 

I can see myself staying here every time I go to Anuradhapura...or even to break journey en route to other cities. I shall be dragging other friends along as well :-)

This is located very close to the Nuwara Wewa and the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Camp in Anuradhapura. The place is nice and Quiet, and it is great to relax.

The rooms were neat and clean, and all amenities were present. It is all worth for just 5000 LKR, and the room is air conditioned, and equipped with a mini refrigerator too  :)

Even though it is not a 5 star resort, the staff is very helpful and friendly and always willing to cater your needs. The food was very tasty, even though you do not have high  number of options to select.

Only downside is the distance from the city center (approx 7 km), but that is not a problem if you have your own vehicle or chauffeur. Furthermore, the hotel will arrange vehicles / tuk tuks on your request :)

Quiet and Nice

Gem of a place!

Best for Family stay

Nice place but unaware on often they rent out the pool.  Two out of the five days we couldn't use the pool.  Very deceiving .  They said it's in the website but it must be in fine print.  As well as no communication when u got here on when the pool would be unavailable for use.  Big deal if the big part of ur vacation is using the pool.  If ur a family who wants to use the pool a lot, I would not recommend this place.  There seems to be a lot of hidden fees like two queens vs king cost me an extra $30 and I swore that's how I booked it.  Valet is the only way to get ur car so u have to tip each time.  Adds up when u need to go to soccer games.
