Globales Lord Nelson

Firstly - not be confused with the Lord Nelson family complex a few hotels down. We had a wonderful relaxing week at the Globales Adult only Lord Nelson. Our room was ready on arrival at lunch time, for which we were grateful, and although on the small size had a lovely side sea view. It did overlook the roofs and solar panels of the lower buildings but did this not concern us Housekeeping did a great job and we chose not to have our bedding changed during our week stay by placing a card on our bed in an attempt to lower our ecological impact on this beautiful island. We stayed on a half board basis and found the food to be of a good standard. The breakfast choice was amazing. We do not eat meat, but there was a choice of 2 fishes most evenings. There was a good variety of salads and pastas. We bought a drinks voucher for 3.3 euros per person which entitled you to have a drink of your choice with your evening mea, which was brilliant. The pool was very low key and quiet. We did not join in with any of the activities, but there appeared to be plenty is you wanted to such as aqua aerobics, darts, archery etc The resort itself is very sedate, with quiet strolls along the sea front pathway. Plenty of longer walks if you so wish as it is directly on the coastal path We walked to Son Bou to lunch a couple of times. An easy 1.5 hour stroll along its beach or a longer one if you take the coastal path. On the whole, the staff were pleasant and polite and we look forward to returning in the future
