We had the most amazing time on Alphonse. The resort is beautifully kept, staff are helpful and friendly- we really didn’t want to leave. 
The fishing was spectacular and there was plenty of other activities to join in and have fun

I had an awesome time. The entire operation is very professional and runs smoothly. The fishing,food and accommodations were wonderful.

I kind of don't want to tell you how good a trip it was to the outer Seychelles, because I want it to remain a secret.  It's that good.  I went all the way to Cosmoledo Atoll.  That was a long way, 1000 km from the capital.  It was a flight about 2 hours with a couple of stops out of Mahe on a 16 seater Beechcraft, and then a wet wade-out to a skiff and a tranfer to another small boat, about 10m, to make a 20 mile overwater trek to the atoll, where there was another skiff and another wet landing.   Most people don't want to do all that.  It's remote.  It takes all day to get there from the capital, which probably already took you two days to get to.  There's no mobile phone signal.  You will need medivac and force majeur trip cancelation insurance.  And it's expensive.  But if you do all that, you are well rewarded.  I really cannot say enough about the great hospitality on Cosmoledo.  They only accommodate a few guests at a time (maybe 16?), in eco pods which are converted storage containers, so of course, this could go very wrong.  But imagine if the person who ran it really knew their job and went above and beyond, then hired staff of the same caliber, and then imagine how it could go really right.  It does.  The guides are top-notch, and the scuba diving was some of the best I've ever done.  I had all kinds of issues come up, due to me being me, and somehow, the staff and management were there at every turn, helping me, and making sure things got put right.  Somehow a large outdoor insect got into my pod and crawled on my shoulder in the night, and the staff helped me get it out of the place despite the late hour.  I changed my mind mid-stay from Astove to Cosmoledo, and they found a way to accommodate me at the last minute.  I had cargo in the form of a heavy underwater camera rig, and they let me put it aboard the plane.  Most memorably, I nearly drowned due to my own stupidity, and my divemaster saved my life.  What more could you possibly ask for?  On top of that, there was delicious food & good wines, the ecopod was new, nice and very clean, AND there were baby sea turtles hatching pretty much every day that you could see if you looked for them.  If that's not paradise, I don't know what is.  I still think about it all the time and it was months ago.  But don't go - I still need to be able to make a reservation.

Exceptional! Outstanding! As a family of five we have seen our share of great places. This island, the access to nature, the fantastic team and the most beautiful resort have given us an exceptional experience that we will never forget. ❤️❤️❤️

We spent a blissful week here doing a combination of some of the offered excursions, cycling round the island exploring, saying hello to the young tortoises in the nursery and the larger ones who roam wherever  and just relaxing in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.  The food was mostly good, quality of ingredients varied a little.  All the staff were friendly and helpful.   There was a lecture most evenings before dinner which were informative and enjoyable.  We loved our A frame bungalow with open air shower, veranda,  loungers at the end of our bit of garden by the beach and a sea view from the veranda and bed as the vegetation was kept low.    Swimming off the beach in front of our bungalow wasn’t good as the water was never deep even at high tide, and there was quite a current.   There are apparently some good snorkelling spots around the island but a little way away and the sea there remained quite choppy so the only snorkelling I did was on one of the excursions.  The “flats lunch” was a delightfully surreal experience!  
The A frame bungalows are closer to the dining area/bar/reception than the suites or the villas and fortunately ours was close enough we could walk to dinner rather than cycle back in dim lighting and after a couple of drinks!

For our second Time in Alphonse Island we found  again the paradise.
Staf,food and organisation are always perfect.
Very good fishing for 6 days.The guides who do thé maximum for us,so big GTs for together and successful casts.
We have booked for next year.

When my husband booked our holiday to Alphonse Island, I was a little concerned that I would be bored and lonely as he was intending to do as much fishing as he could and I am not bothered about fishing.  I couldn’t have been more wrong!  From amazing guided snorkel trips, to seeing dolphins, swimming with a manta, looking for sail fish, a guided cycling trip followed by a delicious smoothie in the beautiful vegetable gardens, chilling by the beautiful pool and of course enjoying the amazing flats lunch on a sand bar in the middle of paradise- there was literally something for me to do every day alongside other like minded non-fishing people.  There was also a lot more on offer which I didn’t manage to do.  Evenings were just heaven.  Informative talks by the staff, cocktails at the bar chatting with other guests about their day, dining on the beach under the stars (never seen so many stars!) and top quality food every night.  I cannot recommend this place enough - it was interesting to see that several of the guests I talked to had been before.  I think we will be one of those repeating guests in the future as we truly can’t wait to go back.  Thanks to all the wonderful staff both in-house and in the diving/activites centre for making me feel so welcome and doing such an excellent job.  I’m not naming anyone in particular as truly everyone works so hard to make you have the best holiday experience ever. Top class all round!

My husband and I spent 10 days on Alphonse island last March and loved it so much we have just returned from another magical stay in the Alphonse Island Lodge. The staff and the ambience are unparalleled, the food is so delicious and I’m a vegetarian so my needs are well catered for. The expansion of the sensational vegetable garden is amazing and the chefs prepare scrummy dishes. The diving visibility, different fish species and coral life is exceptional. I spent my days walking and cycling and discovering every nook and cranny on the island. Relaxing evenings having dinner under the stars with our feet in the sand was one of the many highlights. We will be back a third time …. It’s just a matter is when 🏝️

My wife and I stayed on the island for a week and had an incredible time. The staff welcome and general hospitality from everyone throughout the stay was outstanding. Everyone was clearly passionate about working on the island and wanted us to have the very best time. Pretty much everything was excellent or better than excellent, the food was brilliant, the social activities were great fun and well organised, and the various other island activities were well managed too. 

The fishing more than met the highest expectations with the fishing leader and his team of guides offering an extremely professional fly fishing experience on nearby St Francois.  

Yes, the drinks bill did add up a bit but when you consider where you are, who you are with, and what you are doing it all becomes very worthwhile.  My wife joined me for a half day fishing and caught 3 bones before the flats lunch.  She was otherwise kept busy with amazing snorkelling, swimming with turtles and manta rays and a bunch of other fun things with the other non-fishing guests. A very special place that will be hard to match anywhere else.  Well done and thank you everyone at Blue Safari for a lovely time!

Absolutely incredible experience! My husband and I came here on our Honeymoon could not believe how beautiful everything was. The staff at Blue Safari was so kind, hospitable, and paid such great attention to detail. The main lodge and rooms were so clean and beautifully decorated, and the food was impeccable. My husband and I had the very best time going fishing, snorkeling, swimming and just admiring all of the life on the island. So many things to do and such a wonderful holiday, we wished we could stay a whole month!

We came to Alphonse for a week - we stayed two weeks, and we will come back for more. That says it all.

Alphonse is a beautiful and usual island, once a a coconut plantation, now bursting with beauty. If you are into photography, the light in the forest is unique. If you snorkel or dive, there is lots to explore. If you like good food, for us this was the freshest and best we found anywhere in the Seychelles, and changing on a daily basis unlike many other places. 

If you want solitude, read a book, walk or cycle in the forest - this is the place, look no further (though it is pretty far from everywhere anyway). Enjoy a good sundowner, swim at high or low tide, but watch out to not step on one of the many turtles. Snorkel with mantas. If you are bored here for a second, do not ever leave the city life that you are probably used to. 

The staff was great. Beyond words. Be it the kitchen staff, bar, boat, reception staff, they all did an amazing job, way beyond what we experiences anywhere in such a remote place. The activities are plenty on and in the water and on the island.

We also live in Africa, and this island was a treat for us as there is nothing worrying there. No snakes, no dangerous spiders when you walk through the forest or bush, no nothing. Zip. Not even mosquitos spoil your night, when you sleep without a net and doors and windows open (To be fair, there are some in the forest but they are not even a bother either). 

As occupancy was low, we got lucky to get an upgrade from beach villa to the exclusive retreat. The villa was superior, but we also looked at some other rooms that all seemed great. We'd come back to any of those (just note there are a few units that have a rocky shoreline rather than a sandy beach near the so called Point Dot, but you could probably ask about it, and the even rocky shoreline has a particular beauty).

We have been to a number of island resorts where there is only one place per island - this was one of the best. Harmonizing the natural environment and the guests needs was done so well. We will be back for sure.

Probably the most beautiful island, best service, food and experience in the Seychelles.

I travelled a lot and have stayed in many nice places over the years but the service and hospitality we received at Alphonse was in a different league.  Everything worked like a Swiss watch.  From the moment we stepped off the plane in Mahe everything was slick and professional.  There were absolutely zero hick-ups. 5 Star accommodation & facilities, 5 Star service, 5 Star food, all my expectations were exceeded. The fly fishing was insane, this was definitely my best week of 2022.

Alphonse Island is a truly unique vacation experience - a remote atoll in the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a reef truly teaming with life; turtles, rays, and fish. The snorkeling and SCUBA are wonderful and the fishing is awesome. The staff are accommodating of your every request and the food is excellent. We highly recommend the resort - we've been three times and can't wait to return next year!

We never want to leave!

A  return visit after Covid and can truly say, it is still an exceptional place. Stunning marine and wildlife. I was in travel for 26yrs and can say that the attention to detail and service is the best. This isn't your average holiday. For Fishing, divers, snorkeling, bird watchers the activities available  are a dream.  Full board with a great selection of dishes. If there isn't anything to suit, the chef is more than happy to tailor. What we like, is that this resort is of a boutique nature. The team want you to have a fab time.  We just don't wantt everyone to find it!
