It is regrettable, in the days ahead, that the studio we booked was in the condition it was in. Surely there was no cleaning after the departure of the previous guests, such was notorious either for the amount of hair and other garbage in the bathroom, or for the bad smell of urine. The cotton accumulated under the beds well denotes the lack of cleaning, as well as the dust accumulated over the objects. The breakfast is poor, composed of a few miserable slices of alentejo bread, a few mini croissants, cheeses of good cheese and politics, good yogurt, a slice of muesli and some slices of melon and melon.

A birthday to forget

For the first time I had an experience with agritourism and I was positively impressed. This space very close to Beja allows you to escape the monotonous life, offering even conditions for those who do telework, because the valence of high-quality wifi helps such. Excellent conditions where the environment of rural heritage contrasts with the calm and quiet of nature... nature that hides natural treasures that can only be shown by those who know and have passion, like D. Paula, the owner of the place. A place with a lot of history and a lot to feel. Thanks to D. Paula and D. Patrícia for the extreme sympathy and humility with which they gave us space that makes us feel at home.

A small paradise in the middle of the Alentejo

From the dazzling Alentejan plain with the cows passing by, to walking through the forest with Paula's guided tour drawing attention to all the details that would go unnoticed at the fantastic sunset, it was all an unforgettable experience.

It's not an accommodation, it's an experience.

Lovely setting, beautiful lovely architecture and decoration. Two unexpected setbacks once we arrived: no dinner service (we would have to go to the town of Beja, but didn't really want to) and no internet in the room (contrary to what was publicised). The staff were helpful, but really lacking customer care training; and the overall satisfaction depends a lot on details...

- We asked for towels for the pool and were told tgat they normally don't provide them (but did give us).

- We asked for proper coffee, as what they provided for breakfast was cereal "coffee". We were told that that's what they offer (but did provide us with proper coffee).

- Just before leaving, we realised that the toilet brush was very dirry from previous occupants. Truly bad surprise, especially during a pandemic, when one expects rooms to be very well cleaned. We informed tge staff, who thanked us and said they would throw the brush away. No apologies made.

Lots to do in terms of customer care

We enjoyed the friendly hospitality of Fatima from the beginning. The accommodation is located in a wonderful farmhouse, with free animals, which unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to visit, but which is very pleasant. The room is very clean and the bed very comfortable, with access to the pool area. Although very crowded, the bathroom had a good shower. The breakfast is very pleasant, with fruit and juices.

Rural tourism in the true sense of the word

They created a very beautiful and enjoyable place to stay. Very peaceful.
Very hospitable hosts make the experience personal and interesting. They are justly proud of their agro turismo and share this passion with their guests on a guided walk on the property. 
The position is wonderful. A room and pool with a view.
The rooms are standard yet comfortable. The private terrace is relaxing.
Breakfast was just okay (had better in other places in portugal).
The location is rather isolated (for us a good thing), so there is some driving involved to reach lovely villages and cities and places for dinner. Offering dinner at their place would be an extra bonus. This might give the chance of tasting some of their products from the cattle the breed.
We had a great, relaxing time at this beautiful place.

great stay in beautiful alentejo

The location is good, the Alentejan plain is out of sight and there is incredible silence. The space is very well architected, the decoration is simple but very beautiful, and the overall concept is quite interesting. We enjoyed the fact that it is energetically self-sustaining and we had the opportunity to meet the owner of the estate who is an absolutely fascinating gentleman and of immense sympathy. The soundproofing of the rooms is not good at all, so we heard very often the noise of the adjacent rooms (talks, touch phones, etc.). The cleaning could be more carefully and with more attention to detail. We also suggested that you put anti-mosquito speakers in the rooms taken.

It fell short of expectations

We stayed at Agroturismo Xxstos for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You can tell that great detail went into all aspects of the space. With only a few rooms, each seems to have its own mini terrace with a view of the pool and amazing scenery of the fields of Alentejo. Paola was very lovey and accommodating regardless of the language barrier. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. I highly recommend Agroturismo Xistos to anyone looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the magic of the Alentejo countryside.

Beautiful, peaceful.

Don't miss this agroturismo in which you will find peace and sun. The owner as well as all the staff is very nice and the place by itself is in the middle of the landscape and cows.
They propose a swimming pool really perfect for warm days and also a fantastic breakfast with homa mad cakes and orange juice. The room was really comfortable and big enought. There is a mean to join two rooms if you want to come with children.
I really recommend that place and thank the staff.

Don't miss it

We spent the night here on our offroad motorcycle tour of southern Portugal with Horizon Adventures.  It is hard for us to say where this is located as we arrived by trail and left the same way.  However, it was situated on top of a hill surrounded by a panorama of rolling countryside with grazing for cattle and cork oaks.  Featuring a cluster of nicely equipped rooms with an outdoor pool and an area to sit and enjoy the sunset with a beer or two, this is a very peaceful spot.  The host is an enthusiast for eco-living and has designed the accommodation to be as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising comfort.  Our dinner was an excellent steak from the local breed.  Breakfast was hearty and just what we needed before a day's riding.  All in all an excellent spot to spend a night or two in agricultural Portugal.
