Located along Agoncillo Road in Laurel, Batangas. About 2.5 hours drive from Taguig City via C5-SLEX- Tanauan Toll Exit.   Calinisan Resort Hotel offers relaxation with Taal Volcano as backdrop. They have 2 big pools with kiddie pools , rooms and  cottages for day tours. Rates were very affordable. Staff were courteous and ready to help out. They have a small store near the cottages which offers noodles, softdrinks, coffee, snacks, charcoal and others. But when i asked for shirts (since my shirt git ripped off a bit), they dont have any. Instead they offered a rashguard which i dont intend to buy of course. Videoke rental is 1500. Volleyball is available for 200 per hour, however, the court is of sharp irregular gravel/stones which makes playing quite difficult.  Swimming at Taal Lake is prohibited since according to them it is a really deep area (fishing boats is a regular find here). All in all our experience is good. But the place can still be improved.

This resort is clean and staff are very friendly esp ate esther. We stayed in a villa near the lake. the room is very clean and spacious. the food we ordered are yummy too but you just need to order at least 2 hours before. the pool is clean. you can park infront of the villa too. aircon is cold.

great stay somehow

i first visited around two years ago, i loved it. So i came back for a short one daybreak, how things have changed. Ordered food for lunch it took nearly two hours to arrive, then breakfast was ordered the night before have to pay extra for hotdog and rice, for breakfast no orange juice or fresh milk for coffee. To add to this we were continually brushing off the flies from our food. Who ever is running this place needs to look at their F&B management. As everything else is not bad room, swimming pool are good.

how things change

We visited as a family "day out", rented a hut and ate in the restaurant. Initial impressions were favourable with clean pools (although the rule banning use of pool in "street clothes" was completely ignored), climbing net etc for kids. However the peaceful atmosphere was soon destroyed by karaoke. The waiter in the restaurant assured us the chicken soup was homemade but granules in the bottom of the bowl confirmed, as did the taste that it was from a packet. The order for beef was not available and the adobo, rice and vegetables all arrived cold. The service was very slow and the staff got the order for the people eating outside wrong, forgetting the shanghai rolls and drinks. We will not be returning.

Disappointing

I was expecting a very quiet place where we could experience a quiet and relaxing week. It didn't happen. There were so many people all over. They placed tables and chairs near the rooms. The karaoke was ongoing from 8am to 10pm. 
The food was ok but there were limited choices during breakfast. 
We had to request them to throw the garbage in our room even if we requested that they clean it up. We had challenges with the water/shower during our first night. 
The staff were very friendly.

Not really a very relaxing place

I was worried at 1st because I saw reviews that the pool is dirty,room dirty,bad food etc. But tbh I was satisfied w/ our stay on the family room. The room is clean(aircon is a bit weak on the living room though, and even the comfort room is locked it can still be open on the outside if you force the knob) the pools are nice! The food is okay, ordered pancit,sinigang,tortangtalong grilled fish(that we caught that day on their fishing pond) and sisig. we only didn't like the sisig cause it's too spicy we couldn't finish eating it
The taal lake can be a bit smelly but hey what do you expect? The staff are nice. If you see some reviews that the place ia hard to go to, it's because there are some roads that are steep.
And last but not the least the view is breathtaking :)


Good place

We rented cabanas and had about 40 of us there to use the facilities for the day on March 2, 2019.  Cost was reasonable at 250 pesos per person.  The staff there was very attentive and did well at explaining all things we could do there.  The place was very clean, there were lots of thing for the kids to do including 2 large swimming pools and 2 water slides.  We were able to fish in their stocking pond for tilapia and we caught about 9 fish, it was lots of fun especially for the 3 kids who never caught a fish before.  You pay for the fish by the KG.  They allowed us to bring our own food and use their BBQ grilles for a charge of 50 pesos a person, again very reasonable.  Overall our family had a great time and we look forward to coming back as it is only 30 minutes from our house in Laurel, Batangas.

Family Day Visit

we enjoyed our stay here - quiet place, relaxing ambiance, accommodating staff and clean rooms.. we got to enjoy the pool area since we are the only ones using it.. in the morning, you can sit down near the lake area and just watch the sunrise.. they don't have a lot of activities to offer but if you are after the peacefulness and serenity of the place, this is a place to be.. hopefully they will remove the videoke in the area..
