36 reviewsVery nice weekend at Kjølen hotel due to a "cross-country-ski-weekend". We arrived Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. It was our first stay at both this hotel and in this area of Norway. We enjoyed the nice warm atmosphere in the hotel and the hotel was impressive through-out styled to reflect the history of the hotel and the place. The food was excellent at a very reasonable price (not expensive), and the hotel was exceptional clean! The bed was also excellent (which always is a big case due to disk-problems in my back). The ski-slope was just outside the door - so very easy! And with the app "skisporet" it was easy to see and choose the wanted ski-slopes for the day. So, the nice stay in this beautiful and peaceful environment gave us just the needed break from a busy everyday-life. The only thing missing was a hot-water-boiler in the room - it could have been nice to make a warm cup of tea when returning to the hotel after skiing.
