We had an amazing stay with Jan, Stephen, Emma and Ansel. We took the TranzAlpine train from Christchurch to Greymouth and stayed two nights at the Breakers which was so lovely and peaceful. Jan helped us organize a bike ride on part of the Westcoast Wilderness Trail and told us to look out for fungi--especially blue mushrooms--and we spotted several of a unique and almost unnaturally gorgeous hue. Everything was wonderful about Jan and the Breakers from the delicious pizza dinner and breakfasts to the kindness and courtesy she showed us. We were all terribly sad to leave and hope someday to return!
