Imposible to sleep due to noise. Seems like you are having people shouting in your room the whole night.
Not to mention the tiny bed linen that is not enough for two people and the curtain full of dead insects that does not even cover the window.

I wish I could have my money back for such a bad place. 

Terrible experience

Very nice, special accommodation, no luxury, but everything you need, very friendly and hospitable staff, nice comfortable terraces, breakfast could be arranged a little better, but I 'd like to go back.

Departure to Maastricht

OJK this is a budget hotel. It is clean and the beds are comfy - twins are bunk beds, showers work. However, it was occupied by predominantly male guests who arrived in through t the night. The boat is small and there is no way to avoid the noise of returning guests. We booked for 2 nights, they lost our second night reservation - solution ‘share a double bed’!  Ended up with a room with no shower, no offer of a refund. Breakfast OK but beware this place will not get you a good nights sleep!!

It's a great place to stay for a small fee. If you like to travel by boat and you've probably learned to appreciate the classic interior, this is the place to be. In any case, it's worth a visit! Thank you very much to the staff for the pleasant conversation at a later time. Very communicative and sympathetic hotelier. Many greetings from Cologne - Lukas.

In short, anyone who doesn't take advantage of the offer is missing something!

I don't know what it is about charity for about $35 I didn't claim to know, but... it's even on Lonely Planet, but I know there hasn't been one in the last 20 years... the room and the bed are tiny, and until now I was expecting it to be a boat. Where the problems start: everything and everything you can see is broken, dirty or not normal. Only the bed is vaguely clean. The window of the room is ruined, it takes 10 minutes to close it, and it still remains a breath. After I managed to close it I had to open it again because the heavy and shallow air made it impossible to stay in the living room (and in May).

Boat not cleaned or renovated for years (decades?)

It’s a boat. It’s relatively cheap. Your cabin is small and just for sleeping. With that you can set your expectations. Other then the nice terras, you’ll probably want to spend time in other parts of the city. 

Come if: you enjoy the price point for a room you only plan to sleep in, you have no mobility issues, you enjoy a little bit more green & peace and quiet while still being in the city center. Most of the people traveling by foot or bike I know will love it. 

Don’t come if: you plan to spend significant time in your room, have mobility issues, expect a nice decor, have ever cared about star ratings, or have trouble sleeping with any kind of noise. 

The rooms, or cabins, are small, be sure to check that. For a single guy traveling light, it works wonderfully. Huge suitcases would take an relatively big portion of your cabin, and with two people, moving in your room takes.. coordination. There is little to no soundproofing, so depending on how other visitors behave this could be an issue, it wasn’t for me. As a 1m92 guy, I cannot stand upright in my room, or in the shower (rain shower btw, loved that), and luckily I had a double bed so I could just fit in diagonally. Public areas though are fine height wise and spacey. 

The decor is old and definitely not updated in recent years, but I’m not there to stare at walls. It looks old but was clean enough to my taste. It is NOT suited to people with mobility issues, as there are some stairs getting into the boat, and it you need to go to another deck, the stairs are extremely steep. 

This suited me as solo traveler just fine, but might not be for everyone. 

As I was visiting by bike, it was very nice to be able to park my bike on the boat itself, like a lot of other people did, with the gate being locked at 00:00 at night made me slee easy. (Of course, they still open the gate for guest). 

It has a very nice terras to relax, or if you prefer, a wonderful park right next to it where people seem to enjoy coming, having some picnics and games in the grass, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Right next to the footbridge over the Meuse you’re in the the busy center on both sides in a jiffy. 

Contrary to what other people have said, I have found the staff to be very friendly, and it seems there are fire detectors in every room, at least there was in mine and in public spaces. 

Some downsides:
- my only electrical outlet in the room was in the middle of a wall, which meant a little bit of ingenuity of strategically hanged coats to be able to charge some of my devices with the short chords I had. 
- the road next to the Meuse can be a bit noisy if you’re in the side facing the bank
- it’s a boat, if a big barge passes you can expect some minor movement, but not a whole lot. As a guy who had an atrocious time not being able to sleep on a North Sea ferry, I could sleep like a rose here. 

Don’t come if:

Know what you’re in for, but wonderful if you set the proper expectations

There's always a cozy and homey atmosphere in the bottle and many of the employees speak German and there are some restaurants and cafes you can walk to but nowhere is it as beautiful as on the bottle itself👍😁 I think the bottle is the most beautiful spot in Maastricht 💖

It's really cool.

I can't expect too much, but at least the ABC location would be nice, but the rooms are microscopic, he had to have the bathroom in the room, and the bathroom turned out to be the bathroom, shower, you don't know where it is, mold smell, there's no power supply in the room, pray you don't have to make any solid decisions, advice only and only in case of despair.

A hair before the benches

Positive: Close to the centre: friendly and smiling staff Negative: size of the rooms, cabins rather, tapestries in fact Exorbitant price/quality ratio, the wk in any case (115 euros per night) Common sanitary facilities dating from the middle ages, outside, not heated, no toilet lid, damaged walls etc... Failing heating in the room, when it is 0 degrees outside...

Never again

We had booked a DZ for two days. The photos on the Internet showed it looked very nice. The room was extremely small, smelled like machine oil. The bedding was clean but wet. The air only went through the small bulb eye that bordered the outside with a kind of wall. The closet was painted inside and not really clean. The bathroom consisted of toilet and shower bracelet, whereby you would put the toilet under water when you showered.
