Seoul Hotel & Tour

I am not going to disagree with the previous reviewers, this hotel is dated, tired, and the furnishings urgently need makeover. But if you want to look for a mid ranged hotel, a place with good wifi, a room with private toilet and shower, and right in the middle of the city centre, you need not look further. For 50,000 MRT (US 26) per night for 2 persons, you are just minutes from everywhere. The bus stops are only 1 minutes walk away, please noted it is a big bonus as in Ulaan Baatar (UB), the bus stops are 1 km apart. There are 2 departmental stores near by ( State DS; UB DS), 5 minutes walk to Sukhbaater Square, 10 minutes to Gandan Khild, and it is 1 minute to Peace Avenue, the major street of UB, where you could find all the shops, cafes, travel agents, supermarkets you need. OK, it can be noisy at night, and the place are also offer short stays for couples. The room service is minimal, the place is not cleaned daily. the bed is too soft... , there are no lifts, the shortcomings go on and on. Please noted UB hotels are expensive, similar hotels cost US 100 and up per night in the fringe of the city. Unless you want to stay in hostels dorm, this place is REAL reasonable for what is on offer. For example, 4 stars hotels such as Bayangol cost US 140; the 3 stars American is US 75. So if you want better hotel, even in less than perfect location, you pay much more. Another plus is it is near the famed hostel/tour shops such as Golden Gobi, UB, Khonger, where you can shop for the best value tours. The gem of Mongolia is outside the city in the countryside. AND DON'T MISS IT. Waking up in a Ger in the middle of a huge grassland with 500 sheep all around you is an experience you do not easily forget. You can see the blue sky during the day, count the stars at night...need I say more?
