Gua Musang

Stayed 1 night on the way to Kota Bharu from Kuala Lipis. 
Mr Chew provided transport to and from the Gua Musang train station.
He even let me use his vehicle to go for dinner in town.
Room was comfortable.

Friendly Staff

We stayed here to visit Taman Negara from Merapoh. 

The hotel was nice. Nice owners, who are ready to help you with anything. But the hotel itself is quite remote. If you don’t have your own (rental) car, like us, don’t go to this hotel. There are no taxi’s availible in this area. So there is no possibility to get anywhere from the hotel.

Our trip to TN national park was really dissapointing. The hotel owner arranged a pick up. But when we got at the national park, there were no guides availible, because of friday prayers. The only option was to take a 1,6 km walk trough the park. IMO, the hotel owner should have known. On top of this, our pick up arrived 1 hour late. So no pleasant experience for us.

Good hotel, but no need to visit Gua Musang

We (wife and self) stayed at this amazing inn for 5 Days. Mr. & Mrs. Chew especially Mr. Chew was extremely courteous and helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The room was very clean. Sheets and pillow cases were also very clean. The toilets were cleaned everyday. Extra water bottles were provided on request. Check out was a breeze. Overall, service was exemplary for a 1 star hotel
Breakfast was not provided but we knew this before check-in. Anyway there are a couple of good restuarants nearby the Inn. We will definitely stay at this place when we are in Gua Musang.

Amazing Service and Cleanliness for a budget hotel

Stayed at this Inn for 6 nights with my wife.We were on a birding trip to Merapok (Taman Negara) and decided to stay at this hotel in Gua Musang. The reception was  very welcoming true to its name :'Welcome Inn'. Mr Chew the owner was very helpful and obliging and so was Mrs. Chew.They attended to all our needs with a smile. A rare phenomenon in a budget accomondation.
The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. The sheets were changed everyday. We had wifi and a fridge in the room.
The only setback was that it did not have an elevator but Mr. Chew personally helped us with our baggage.
A few doors away, there was a supermarket and we could get all our drinks and bread. 
This is a wonderful lodging in Gua Musang. We will definitely stay at this Inn which offers 5 star service for a budget hotel.

Super Value for Money

After booking at this establishment one night, we arrived by train from Kota Bharu to Gua Musang at 20:00, as I had warned of our arrival, the boss came to pick us up, then he took us to a Chinese restaurant where we served a boiled fish, he came back to pick us up around 21:30 and then excellent night, quiet room, very good bed. At 9:30 he took us to the train station so that we could take the 10:00 train to Kuala Lipis. There is cold or hot water available. We were entitled to a gift on the day of departure. If all hotels were like this!

The manager of the exceptional hotel

Welcome Inn is a simple budget hotel located in a small town. The room basic and clean. A common pantry area with water dispenser, microwave and iron is available. A supermarket is next door and other restaurants about 800 m away adds to the convenience of this hotel. The one thing that makes it excellent, is the owner himself. Friendly and helpful, he is a gem. I needed transport to the railway station and he said he would do it, and even asked if I had breakfast yet, when I said no, he took me to breakfast first!

The hospitality made it special

Staff (owners, I think) were pleasant and room was small and basic but clean. The bed was quite comfortable though one side was pushed against the wall to make more space in the room and my husband had to climb in. There were two power points but only one beside the bed. No fridge in the room but hot water available in the corridor. It is great value for money and my only complaint is that all the rooms are on the first floor and so you must climb the stairs. It was nice and close to town, plenty of shops nearby and only about 5 minutes' drive from the train station. 

Clean and comfortable

We got the two beds deluxe room in this hotel. Very spacious ! Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the service was good. Not too far away from places to eat and right next to a grocery store. Overall pretty simple and average for a short stay.
