I regret to choose "villa dogo".It is dirty,unkind and expensive.It iwas the worst choice in my life.I also regret to select hotel by using "Hotels.com".This site did not show "Villa dogo"as a "B&B". I knew villa as a hotel.It was more expensive than other site.It also charged me commission.私は"Villa Do"選択 を悔する。빌라도고 선택을 후회합니다..내가 지금까지 머무른 곳 중에서 최악이었습니다..더럽고 지저분하고 불친절했습니다..사이트에는 호텔로 해놨는데 가보니 민숙이었습니다.웹사이트 hitels.com도 엉망입니다..수수료 안 붙인다 해놓고 수수료 추가하고..내가 7일간 머문 일본시코쿠의 다른 호텔과 같게 평점을 붙여놨습니다..확인을 안한 것이지요..소비자가 속게 되어 있었습니다..민숙이 다른 호텔보다 값이 비싸다는게 말이 됩니까.도요코인.도큐래이.캄포트.그란데미마츠 등 보다 비쌌습니다..

The owner is very kind. Excellent person!

The owners of this traditional Japanese style hotel are sweet, friendly and very helpful. The tatami mats were clean and in good condition. The bedding was super old and worn thin and the bathroom was falling apart with crumbling tile and rust stains. Good thing Dogo Onsen is only a 3 minute walk away! We couldn't bear to bathe in our room. The hallway wreaked of cat pee and husbands cat allergies were off the charts the whole time we were there. The slippers provided felt sticky and i wondered if they were ever cleaned. 

Great location but old dirty

It has good features: nice owners, convenient parking not far away, ideal location, 200 meters from the dougo onsen honkan. The rest is not very pleasant. Cats come in and out of the hotel at all hours and urinate in the common areas (unfortunately not in the rooms). The litter is comfortable, but just (but we are in Japan after all). The general cleanliness is limited, depending on your requirements you might find it to be scornful. You would have to make it all over again. It's just suitable for one night, I think.

No more than one night.

When you walk through the door of the Villa Dougo hotel, a strong smell of cat urine caresses your nostrils, and this, in all the common areas. And for good reason, there seems to be a lot of people in the neighborhood! The good surprise is that the room smells good! The bed is clean, the room is clean, the bathroom is clean, we have found a used tea bag in the ofuro! The owner of the hotel speaks English, parking is free upon request. Located 3 minutes' walk from the Dogo Onsen.

Advantages and disadvantages.

A great welcome, a big airy tatami room with it's own bath and toilet. Entry is a bit cluttered but don't let this put you off.

Great location near dogo onsen.

We stayed at this minshuku for one night. We enjoyed the wonderful Japanese rooms and relaxed atmosphere. Although the hotel is a bit messy we found this added to the charm of the place. The room itself was perfectly clean and came with towels and flannels for the beautiful and very nearby onsen, as well as yokatas to relax in. However, the best part of this hotel was the owner. He made us feel at home and very kindly helped us the morning after our stay. We were hitchhiking around Japan and he gave us a lift all the way to the expressway interchange which saved us a lot of time. On the way there, he also gave us a tour of the local temples and a traditional textile factory which was very interesting.
