Relais Delle Vele

After a budget accommodation in Venice this seemed like a palace! In fact I kept asking if I had truly booked this hotel/room. I was not aware I had booked a room/suite that could be self catering, nor did i know that the bedroom situation was separated from a lounge area which doubled as another bedroom for a third person. The room was magnificent. the bathroom had a tiny shower but overall it was magnificent because it worked very well! and was super clean. The view of the vinyard and rural surroundings made us even more happy with this hotel the bed was a touch too hard for a prolonged stay. Air conditioning worked very well too. Breakfast included and was mainly continental with the added option of cook your own boiled egg. Reception staff were able to speak English, which really helped as this area of Italy did not get that many English speaking people and so communication with locals was 'Interesting' and gesticular. lol The staff were brilliant. No request seemed too difficult for them and we were well looked after. We came for a dog show that was held locally and honestly I think we got the best hotel with a 15 eu taxi to the stadium. If we return to the area, this is the hotel for us! Internet service was extremely good and that made a nice change. The restaurant is no longer in operation, pity.Perhaps they will revive it
