Great b&b, lovely spacious rooms and comfortable beds, good range of breakfast items. Good location for surrounding areas, Bantry, Killarney, Cork, Clonakilty etc. Mary is a great hostess and good source of info about places of interest. , Friendly pub next door with good food at weekends. During this trip we wanted to stay in Dunmanway, we had previously rented a home outside the town but wanted to be closer to town.  At every step in the booking process Mary exceeded our expectations, her responsiveness, the information she provided, and the accuracy of the information we exceptional.  During our stay, the rooms were exactly as described and were kept refreshed and clean during our entire 6 day stay.  The breakfast was more than expected! Mary offered an array of choices that included both hot and cold options as well as fresh fruit, breads, and preserves.  I would not hesitate to stay there on my next trip amd would recommend it to anyone traveling to west Cork!

Great brown bread. Really good water flow in showers. Super accommodating. Lovely smiley staff. The family and I had a fab time!

Stayed in Galvins on the green last night when attending family occasion in   Cork.  Found this b&b excellent in every way.  Spotlessly clean warm and very inviting.  Beautifully decorated rooms with everything  you need. Mary the host is a lovely  friendly lady and couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful  home cooked breakfast with all the trimmings.  Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.  Would highly recommend  this b&b


I stayed in the Galvins on the Green B&B for three nights while on a course in Dunmanway. I couldn’t have a had a more comfortable and relaxed stay. The lady of the house was very warm and welcoming and the room was cosy and comfortable. The B&B is right next to the Southern Star Bar (great location!) which also belongs to the same owners, and the food served is of great quality and the service very friendly. The breakfast was very enjoyable too, with a lot of choice: fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurts, tea or coffee, juices, and omelette or full Irish – fab! Not to mention the lovely view from the breakfast room into the beautiful garden at the back of the B&B and Bar. I would definitely stay here again! 

We stayed here pre and post wedding. Mary is a great host, breakfast freshly cooked to order and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms, some with a third bed, are of a reasonable size, the shower had good power. Evening meals are served next door in the pub Thursday to Saturday.

5 of us stayed here whilst visiting family and really enjoyed our stay, Mary made us very welcome, rooms were lovely & well decorated, great bed very comfy. Full Irish breakfast was good too with choice of fruit & yoghurt too. Plenty of drinks were had by all in their adjoining pub too! All in all a lovely stay & would definitely return. 

I stayed one night at this B&B while on business in Dunmanway. It’s excellent value from the quality of the rooms to the top-class breakfast with a wide range of choices. Mary is a wonderful host and her husband runs a lovely adjoining pub where I enjoyed a few lovely pints of Murphy’s. 
Highly recommended. 

Mary was a wonderful host, the room and breakfast were superb. I was in the area doing some geneology research, Mary was so helpful and lovely to chat with. I enjoyed a meal at the pub next door. Would highly recommend.

Local Irish cousin recommended. Small guesthouse but big on service. Mary was just great. Normally there is something that niggles you …..nope not here. Lovely, clean rooms, superb breakfast, personal service. Guest house owns bar next door, that's grand too! . You will not find anything else like it.  We loved it!
