One of the best place for Ayurveda and siddha Healthcare centre.Really good place to visit and refresh.The ambience is really good.All are proffesional people who does the massage.One of the nice place to visit while you stay in this resort. 

Good Place

when we stayed at the Dream Makers houseboat our captain stopped at 2 places. the first was to buy prawns for our supper. we paid a wopping 1700 rupees for 6 giant prawns...i know it was totally overpriced.
second stop santigiri heritage and ayurvedic centre. Please AVOID and rather go to the bigger and neater centres...it was terrible. flat old wooden tables covered with plastic. the massage was done by two small teenage girls who were slapping our legs down tp the ankles which hurt the most after long flights. no method we were placed near a table where they were eating. its an old hut for Gods Sake!!! dark holes ...frigtening experience. not at all the kerala ezperience. they charged a whopping  1400 rupees for a leg and foot massage for sister and myself.
oh abd lastly they used rags dipped in hot water to wipe us thereafter....Never again
avoid this SANTIGIRI HERITAGE AYURVEDIC CENTRE  its a dark ugly hut and an equally ugly experience

santigiri ayurveda heritage...AVOID AT ALL COST

I just went with my wife to do an ayurvedic massage at a place indicated by Lonely. for my wife it was very proper hygiene. for me who is used to it I was massaged by a man who not only did not know but could be dangerous. legs they massaged from top to bottom. despite my request to massage the back why I had come he insisted on the Santhigiri legs to avoid Kumily

Santhigiri heritage Resort is a budget Resort best for family. The best thing is they provide pure veg food only. This property rn by a Santhiri Ahsram which is an organisation promoting Ayurved in India & abroad. 
 Well maintained rooms with & without A.C. are available. The plus point is world famous Kerala Ayurvedic Massage centre & Ayurvedic Medicines available & this is run under supervision of experienced doctors, they treat honestly & sincerely. 
TheFamous Kovalam Beach is just 5 mins away.
Overall its a best accomoation for families.

Good Budget Beach Resort with Pure Veg. Restaurent

It's a big room, but I managed to clean it myself, but a view of the sea is amazing, and the staff is very gentle, and no more, and we get the impression that they're sleeping standing up.

It's a great hotel. It's in disrepair.

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights over the New Year.  We'd been travelling around Kerala and well used to staying in some pretty basic accommodation but we were both terribly disappointed with this place.  On the positive, the rooms are big, beds are comfy and the location is great - very near a friendly quiet beach (Rockholm) - bit of a hidden treasure to get away from the very busy, often letchy lighthouse beach!  Also the Doctor on site and the porter were really helpful and the Doctor seemed to often be left to sort things out - well beyond his role. 

On the downside, upon arrival, the Manager was very keen to get 50% of our total price of our stay before we even had a chance to see our room.  The bedroom space was clean but the bathroom was filthy - it even had belongings presumably from the previous clients.   When we did get our room cleaned, my friends bedsheet was replaced with one with bloodstains on it and didn't fit the bed, only came halfway down!  

Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price but we went down on the first day to a really dreary looking room, saw flies buzzing around the uncovered fruit salads that looked like they had been there for days and never ate there for the duration of our stay - didn't want to chance it! 

We were told that wifi was included but it didn't work until the last two days of our stay. 

No hot water for any part of our stay! 

Often the reception was unmanned so you would wander around aimlessly trying to find someone to help.  

All in all, you could see the potential of the place but is clearly run down and uncared for.  It was not about material things, but anywhere can be clean! 

To add final insult to injury, the Manager 'forgot' that we had paid 50% deposit which led to us having to evidence what we had actually paid which turned out to be a lengthy and unnecessary affair.

Never again! Much better other places around in Kovalam!

Overpriced - never again!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and it was very comfortable. Our room was on the top floor with sea view. They offered a complimentary breakfast. and food was available on request. the beach is also very close by walking 2 mins. along with all kinds of shops on it. Very reasonable taxi and autos are also available near the hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious with hot water facilities and room service. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

Excellent place to stay

This hotel is dirty, the sheets stained with dried blood, the floor sticking to the feet. At night, nightly visits of rats who came to taste our bananas in the room during the night. The suitcase bearers charge a union rate (they say) of 100 rupees minimum! As for Ayurvedic care, intended to feed the finances of the ashram in Trivandrum, an incompetent pseudo doctor (he is also the manager of the hotel...) the massage rooms are dirty and at the end, as a shower, it is the hot tub of water on the head (no douche). Small lunch. Unacceptable, unacceptable, to run away at all.

Absolutely embarrassing

This is our experience at the Santhigiri: First we were sprinkled with oil on our heads and we got a massage that was more like rubbing our fingers on our heads. So we were literally rubbed with oil all over our bodies and they started rubbing us like soaps.
