What a lovely, typically Greek, villa.....
Dimitri, Laila & everyone were so welcoming & friendly.
The rooms were kept SO clean.... had fridge, hairdrier, kettle & a/c plus TV (but only  BBC news channel in English)
Very comfy bed.
Continental breakfast was good.
The location was great.  Easy walk to beach, mini market & bus stop
All in all a lovely stay & will be more than happy to stay here again.

this is a very nice basic hotel only 2 star but many think it should be 3 ,the owner and his staff were very good nothing was to much trouble. you get a basic greek breakfast with tea or coffee. a very nice roof bar ,sun loungers ,and 2 plunge pools. its only a short walk to the beach and restaurants, bars, 2 super markets one small one close by a larger one 8 mins walk , also 2 bakeries ,1 to the left  near the big market also atm ,  
1 to the right which is the nearest and biggest .plus a couple of bars on the main road.
all in all a very pleasant trip lovely island . only down side was the airport to small for a large crowds .

I stayed here on a group solos tour. The villa is classed as two star purely on the level of facilities available, but their service is five star. Free air con,tea making facilities, beach towels provided and excellent cleaning. Plus the staff went out of their way with everything (bought retsina for the bar as that is what I drink on holiday). Can't praise them enough

Lovely small rustic Greek hotel. Very basic but has everything that I needed. Very clean. Lovely roof terrace. Would be nice if the pool was a little bigger but I know space is an issue. Don’t think the pictures on the website does the hotel justice.

Like most other reviewers, I stayed here on a Solos holiday.   The welcome from the family was very warm (though it was very late when we arrived) and this continued throughout the stay; they couldn’t do enough for us and were clearly pleased to be hosting us.  The room was basic but fine with good air conditioning and a pleasant little balcony.  The bathroom was not great, small and quite smelly and the shower cubicle was tiny with a curtain that either stuck to you or fell over the side and flooded the floor.  However, I understand that several rooms have already had their bathrooms upgraded (I saw a photo from a fellow group member and it looked lovely) and that this is ongoing throughout the hotel.  The rooftop area is really great with 2 small but refreshing plunge pools which, to be honest, is all I need out of a pool.  There are plenty of tables and chairs and loungers and the drinks from the small bar are very reasonably priced.  They also provide a small selection of lunch food which I meant to try but didn’t get round to it.  Breakfast is self-service but has all the continental breakfast elements you need.  The hotel is in an excellent location close to all bars/restaurants/shops and the beach.  All in all a great place to spend a week.

I stayed at Villa Maistrali as part of a Solo's group for a week in early May.
The people who run it are very efficient and very pleasant - always willing. My room was perfectly adequate for my stay and was scrupulously clean - and refreshed every day. The roof top terrace is handy for sunbathing, socialising and group meetings. The bar was available to us whenever we needed it. Villa Maistrali is situated within seconds/minutes of various shops, bars and tavernas which is very handy. Overall I found it an excellent place to stay for a weeks holiday in Santorini.

I stayed here on a group Solos tour. I was in one of the outside ground floor rooms. At first I felt a little bit vulnerable being on the outside of the villa but I soon came to realise it was very safe. The room was quite big but the bathroom small. The shower was just over the tiled area right next to the toilet - you can see the blue rubber mat inside in the photo attached. There is a shower curtain that goes around but the total shower space measures approx 2.5ft x 2.5ft - not good! 

That aside and the fact that the safes in the rooms are controlled by a pre-set code that you can't change yourself that everyone at the villa could very easily work out, I really loved my stay there.  The villa is an old building but I like that and all the  rooms are painted in nice pastel shades with co-ordinating furniture.

It is very close to the beach and there are shops/bars at the other end of the road, all 5 mins walk away. The rooftop bar was good for a drink before going out for the evening - the sunsets are lovely to watch from there.

I would recommend a stay here.

Santorini is truly a beautiful island. Lia and Demitrius are lovely. The accommodation is very basic. Mattresses really hard. The road is really noisy. The acoustics are noisy, sound reverberates and echos. The doors close loudly. You can’t drink the water on the island. The villa gives you 1 bottle and you have to buy the rest. You can’t flush the toilet paper. The breakfast is typical continental but repetitive and gets old fast. Loads of fantastic trips available locally. There are loads of places to eat that serve huge portions of fantastic food. 
It’s defin worth a visit. I’m glad I went I would just have liked to have known some of the above before going.

Nice to know before you go

Recently visited Villa Maistrali on a solos holiday. It was a somewhat disappointing experience with the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on!...Others in the group were similarly critical...In addition, the breakfast was basic and unappealing. Staff were excellent. My room was on the ground floor and the noise from the adjacent building site and local traffic was, at times, very intrusive.

Great little family run place and very clean. Rooms are nice  but very noisy due to proximity to the road and other properties. Great beach plenty of bars and restaurants - all nearby most offering free sun beds if you buy a drink.
