Tropicana Inn

We were due to stay at the Tropicana Inn from 29 July, but our flight was cancelled and rescheduled to 5 August. As we also had a week booked in Parga, it meant changing our booking at the Tropicana to start on 12 August (so, Parga first, then Nydri, instead of the reverse). Liana and Nicos couldn't have been more helpful - very flexible and understanding of the difficulties we are all facing in these challenging times. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and our third floor room had a small balcony which had the perfect view of the nearby islands of Sparti and Skoprpios. The room was a good size for two, with ample storage for clothes and suitcases, meaning it was easy to keep tidy. Nicos and his family keep the hotel spotless and clean. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the pool was closed while we were there, as was the buffet dining room, but food and snacks were available in the poolside bar which is light and airy. We ate and drank there a couple of times - good value and tasty breakfast! Tropicana is well-located for a walk into Nydri (about half an hour) or a quick drive there. The hotel has ample off-road parking available. There is a small beach just across the road, which is perfect for a morning dip to start the day, and further north up the coast are small resorts with beaches that make a nice day out. All in all, we had a great stay at Tropicana - helped by the friendliness of Liana, Nico and his lovely daughters. Highly recommended!
