First of all, very, very clean.  The room is exceptionally cozy and cleverly decorated, there is everything you may need.  Lovely comfortable room, comfy bed and good pillows.  A wonderful view from the window, especially now when there is a beautiful Christmas tree in the square.  There are at least two restaurants nearby and a charming market square.  You can choose between paid parking (8.00-18.00 1.50 h) or free parking 10 minutes from the hotel.  Convenient check-in.  The bells from the nearby tower, although audible, do not disturb sleep.  What is particularly noteworthy is the fact that I had a special request that someone fulfilled using their own time and resources, and that is worth its weight in gold these days.  Thank you, you are great!  I will definitely come back here because it's worth it!

High standard of quality.

Great accommodation, 5th floor with great views. Easy key transfer. The climb, escalators, (no elevator) is a little strenuous, but absolutely worth it. Also super nice that it was possible to make coffee and tea. The location is very central. We felt very comfortable there!

Great and affordable accommodation!

Because of the central location, day trips to Bautzen could be organised well.The accommodation itself was simply great, the terrace view was very pleasing to us.The conversations with the staff were always going well so that we could also give tips for the future.

For a trip through Lausitz we had booked the To Towel for one night. The location is great, inner city tables at the main market, all in the grounds. Parking is a bit complicated, as you can park for only a maximum of 2 hours during the day, it's at night, but it's located in the middle of the park houses (central and grain market center). Around the corner there is a nice bakery café for breakfast. Nearby there are also many restaurants and bars. The sights of the wonderfully renovated city can be reached from the boarding house on foot. The room itself is very conveniently furnished with good beds, even a small kitchen accessories. We had a very small bathroom in the 4th floor, which was very convenient for people to walk through.

Top location, nice room

Took the top 2 story suite.  It requires walking up 6 flights of stairs but once there its a fabulous suite loaded with thoughful extra like coffee, cream and toothbrushes!  You have view of square below through (small) window and view of city on both ends of suite, one from a small balconey.  Includes a full kitchen, large screen Tv in a combo living room/dining room.  A very comfortable small condo, one could live here.  What a find!!

The small boarding house is located in the middle of the old town, right on the beautiful romantic market square. The reception is unoccupied because the boarding house no longer has a restaurant. You call a number on arrival and you get the key immediately in person. Because of the monument protection, there is no elevator and no air conditioning.

Historic building...pure hotel on the market...close as a towel...the room was fine...sleeping too...the breakfast was a little strange, since the host had no bread and had to walk to the baker...

Beautiful building

The house is in the middle of the city. It's as small as its name, only one room on each floor. The rooms are functional, for the price is fine. Unfortunately, you couldn't check in until 5 p.m., which meant some circumstance in a work assignment.

Good location, simpler hotel

The two budget hotels I first tried to book were full.  I took a chance on Pension zum Handtuch.  It was OK.

OK Pension (small hotel) in center of town

The hotel is a small, one-room apartment on the ground floor, clean. It's located in the old town, next to something horribly ringing (church/temple). If you're calmly responding to outside sounds and not busy with work, maybe the hotel is right for you.
