The owner is really very friendly, he gives you a lot of very interesting information about the culture of the vineyard and the different qualities of its wines. The Merlot room is very spacious, a beautiful bathroom with bathtub is appreciated. The outside is nice in the middle of the vineyards, and our friends dogs are welcome. A very good address for a relaxing stay

It's a beautiful home.

Between merlot, chardonnay and malbec, a large dwelling in a vineyard. A few rooms in an annex building, sober and convenient. An excellent starting point to visit the area, Blaye, Bourg and make snack stops... breakfast served at the table with bread and wine included in the price... pool if the weather permits.

In the Midst of the Vineyards

I spent two nights in this B&B. I made the booking live, by mail. The place is very quiet, in the middle of the vineyards. You need a GPS to find it. I was greeted by Isabelle who offered me a glass of red wine produced on the property. The room is soberly decorated. The bathroom is impeccable with an Italian shower. The bed is of good quality. There is wifi in the room and access to the pool. Breakfast included in the price of the night, is with fruits, Viennese, tea, coffee, juice, bread and soup. Isabelle recommended restaurants in Bla, less than 10 minutes by car. Jange was very happy to stay.

Calmness and tranquility

In any case, it is located between vineyards, in a very quiet place, at night only the frogs of a nearby pond could be heard. The owner is very kind and invites us to a glass of wine when we arrive and gives us indications of where to dine (in Blaye, the nearest). The room is outside the main building, which is not a problem, but it is unwelcoming and you don't have the feeling of being in a castle.

Not all Châteaux are Castillos...

Antipathic home... first experience of a disappointing guest room.. a place I strongly discourage!! Ps: when you don't have a sense of hospitality, you do something else!! Thank you Isabelle We will never come back

Big disappointment

We stayed here in the family room as there were the 4 of us. We were on our way down through France and planned to get the Blaye ferry the next morning. The room was very comfortable with a really good shower. There was also an outdoor pool which we didn't get a chance to use. Isabel was very welcoming and was happy top give advice on the area etc

Great location

At 95 Euro for a night this was extremely overpriced compared to anywhere else we have stayed in France in the April-May period. By way of comparison we stayed in two different Chateau's either night of our stay here, both within 50 kilometers of this one, both were 20 to 25 Euro cheaper and were both in a completely different class compared to this ramshackle joke. 
When I stay in a Chateau I actually like to stay 'in' the chateau rather than an outbuilding which has been cheaply decorated, furnished and supplied.
Uncomfortable bed, Shower and bath which both ran water at the same time, basic toiletries (including the infamous pink toilet paper), tiny TV not set up properly, unkempt grounds and a swimming pool that was so slimy I wouldn't let my dog swim in it.
Each to their own I guess but I certainly wouldn't stay here again.

Fawlty Towers?

Chateau surrounded by vineyards, as they make their own wine (pretty good, by the way), in a spectacular setting. We were in a very pleasant and quiet family room. A very rich breakfast and swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. The owner and her husband, very kind and willing, informed us of the possible activities in the area and we bought wine from their winery right there.

We had made a move because we could not find another address on our way back. suitable room, but no service other than a very simple breakfast in the morning.

This is not a hotel but guest rooms.

Welcome appetizer with the property's wine: very nice surprise. Information about the area, restaurants etc.? Always useful. Simple room, rather large, large bathroom too. TV very small, too small. Lunch a little minimalist.
