I stay here everytime I visit Bordeaux (usually to go to the opera). Can’t think of any reason to stay anywhere else....it's dead central, charming old street full of restaurants and Bordeauxise enjoying themselves. It's real clean, elegant rooms, windows giving views of the 19th century buildings that make Bordeaux so grand. No breakfast is provided,  but for the price one couldn't,  it seems to me, ask for more. 

This hotel is at great location at Bordeaux, just a breath from plaz de la bourse and the center of Bordeaux's old town. It has the original perfume of Bordeaux old town, and although is old and small is very clean and nice decorated.
We found it accidentally, homeless at Bordeaux because our flight changed and needed somewhere ti stay. 
Mecie was really, so so polite despite it was late at night, he woke up in order  to host us. The price was very good for its location, we felt safe as being at a family home. We totally recommend it for our and every next visit to Bordeaux. 

My daughter stayed here for 3 nights following a recommendation from the Office de Tourisme.  She is an Erasmus student and was literally homeless at this point. The patron was really helpful and I felt very comfortable leaving her here on our return to England.  Hotel St Remi is very central so is in a great location (just off the wonderful shopping street St. Catherine) and is a great price at €49 for a single room.  This place is clean, safe, central and cheap.  Perfect if you'd rather spend your money on other things. 

Hotel Saint Remi is a lovely hotel located right in the heart of beautiful Bordeaux. 
It trades as a 1* establishment but is much more than that. Our room was spotless, comfortable and serviced every day. It's an old traditional building  with a balcony overlooking the street leading down to the river. 
Yes there is lots chatter in the street, a real buzz which can be shrouded by closing the  shutters. There is a narrow original staircase leading up to the rooms so I suggest mobility is important. Breakfast is great value and should be booked in advance . Hotel Saint Remi is privately owned and run by the family. 
I can certainly highly recommend this hotel and if value and cleanliness is important to you not to mention its perfect location. This place was perfectly adequate for our needs and send best wishes and thanks to the owners and staff

Excellent hotel, location, and stuff

Great price and location

My girlfriend and I booked a week in the St Remi, as neither of us are awash with money, and were drawn to the central location of the hotel, and the cheap rates (it's about €35 a night). The building is very old, and has lots of character, situated on one of the oldest streets in Bordeaux old town. The hotel staff are friendly, although they will not go out of their way to help you... The hotel is frequented by businessmen, creatures of the night, amorous young couples (you get the picture), hence, don't expect a quiet night. This hotel is not peaceful! However, all in all, we did sleep, it's clean, and incredibly convenient, surrounded with lots of restaurants, and if, like us, you did quite a lot of wine tasting, the money we saved on the hotel we were able to spend on eating in some swanky places and having a very romantic holiday. We won't go again, but we were glad we went.

A typical French city centre multi-purpose resting place!

A small, but functional hotel. It's in need of a bit of restoration. We were backpacking around Europe at the time, and bored of staying in smelly, overpriced hostels we chose this place. It was cheap enough, in the town centre (in comparison to the hostel which was miles out), and offered us comparitive comfort. Good for travellers. see: -------------------------------
