220 reviewsCheck in was quick and friendly, with the receptionist providing a maqp and lots of information about the centre of Quito. I was offered water, coffee or coca tea on arrival. The lifts are fast. The rooms have wooden flooring, and there is plenty of wardrobe space with iron and ironing board, room safe, and space for luggage on a stand. There was a fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. There was an alarm clock, desk and table, and the secure WiFi was reliable. The bed was also good quality. Note that there is no air conditioning, but the windows open and it never felt too hot. Try to get a high floor as the hotel is on a main road. The breakfast was brilliant – a large hot and cold selection with eggs cooked to order. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the historic centre of Quito, or a $5 taxi ride. There is a supermarket literally just over the road from the hotel which is really handy. The hotel has a number of friendly and reliable taxi drivers on their files, and they can arrange a trip to Mittad del Mundo for $40 and Quito airport for $25.
