Clean rooms. Beautiful garden. 5 € for breakfast. Friendly staff. good pool. 1 minute walk to the beach. 5 minutes to the city where you can eat and drink. Excellent location.

The best hostel to stay in Ecuador, Totally recommended, especially by the staff in charge of the hostel, super nice everything clean and always worried about if we were missing something.Recommended.

Casa Roja is in a great spot far enough from town to be quiet but only a 5 minute walk away. Great kitchen and Gloria is really friendly too. Pool as well, although it's not always the cleanest. All in all good value.

Great spot

Casa Roja is less than 5 minutes walk to the town. The area is so quiet. The room & bathroom we got was spacious. The bed is clean and comfortable. The shower has great pressure hot water. The internet was reliable and fast. The communal kitchen has it everything we need and clean. The swimming pool is a bit small bit sufficient. The property's back door is minutes away from the beach. Montañita beach is beautiful and the sunset is just mesmerising. The owners are friendly and helpful. Their dog, cruchie and her puppies are so friendly and gorgeous. We definitely will miss them. This place is highly recommended!

What a gem of a place 

I highly recommend staying at Casa Roja if you are visiting Montañita.  This house has an enormous backyard with a beautiful outdoor kitchen, beach access, pool, ocean views, pool table, and plenty of hammocks to relax in.  The room was very clean, comfortable (air conditioning!), and even the bathroom sink had hot water.  The house was perfectly situated between the north and south...quiet at night, but only a short walk from all the restaurants.  The owner was super cool, but I have to say my favorite part was hanging with Crunchy, one of the dogs on the property.  It's no surprise many reviews mention her :) She is so sweet!

Best accommodation in Montañita!

We stayed in a room with bunk bed + extra bed, very comfortable. Ideal for the 3 of us. Fully equiped with A/C and a full private bathroom with hot water, towels, soap, clean sheets. The house itself is beautiful property right on the beach on Montanita. walking distance from the famous Montanita world class surf break and also a short walk (5 min) to town either via the beach or the road to the restaurants and nightlife. Perfect place to rest, quiet and at the same time close to everything.

The guest have access to all the facilities of the house. The property has a large grass front yard, a swimming pool, barbecue area with both coal and gas BBQ, social area pool table. Also has a little communal kitchen equipped with drinking water, electrical stove, water heater, mixer, microwave, fridge, toaster, pots and pans, silverware complete set of dishes and glasses among other accessories and complimentary drinking water.

Louis speaks perfect English and is a great host. Gloria and Ramon who are taking care of the hostal are there for your every needs.
