I'm staying here for work reasons. It has its own bathroom. Hot water, cable. The internet is slow. The food is good. Use the laundry room and hand over the clothes the same day. There is a desk in the room and a cold bar.

A good environment.

We had a long and fairly nerve wracking bus ride to Loja and arrived around 11 pm.  We saw the lights of the hotel and it looked very nice.  So at $60/night we were glad to have found it within walking distance from the bus terminal.  We asked for a king bed and when we arrived at the room, were given a full size.  Too tired to care, we got ready for bed.  The bed was so so extremely hard.  Please be sure to check the bed to see if you can handle it before you accept your room.  

Other observations..the room was very clean, but also small.  There was no window to outside, but instead a window to the hallway.  If you are claustrophobic, that could be an issue.  

Unlike other reviewers, we did not have hot water in the morning. Barely lukewarm.  We decided to just get up and leave after trying the breakfast.

Breakfast was interesting.  Wonderful juices hat seemed fresh squeezed.  Eggs were good as was the bread, butter and jam.  It also included this thing that reminded me of a tamale but extremely dry.  See photo.  The breakfast service of the waiter was very good.  We were the only ones having breakfast.  Actually, we did not see any other guests at all.  Very strange.  

Would we come back?  Absolutely not.  The sleepless night on the hard bed itself was enough to keep that from happening.  Instead, we would probably try one of the hostages outside the bus station and see if it were any better for our needs.

Floor was softer than the bed

A cozy place... a top-notch installation.. decent service and a lot of kindness... adequate prices really should be recommended as one of the best in Loja la comida es buena... very close to all the management places.

If you are in Loja, stay in Quo Vadis Hotel is worth it, it is very well located, close to the city center, the attention of its staff is unbeatable, very friendly and serviceable, the cafeteria and restaurant has delicious dishes, in short a hotel worth visiting.

I have stayed at Quo Vadis three times now over the last six years and the standard has always been consistently good.  Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are helpful and prices are very reasonable (two nights for two adults and two children USD200).
This is more like a business hotel than a family hotel, rooms have en-suite bathrooms and plenty of hot water in the mornings - less so late at night, although the massive flood that hit Loja that night may have been the reason.
Breakfast is very pleasant as far as it goes, but perhaps a little more toast, some jam, and perhaps a sausage or two to go with the scrambled eggs would really make this five stars.

Excellent Rooms, but breakfast needs a little work

It's an excellent hotel, very good service. Everything works well: wifi, hot water... The staff is friendly and caters to you quickly. The food is good although there are not many vegetarian options. The price ratio is magnificent. It is located near one of the city's entrances, but not far from the shopping center, which is 7 minutes away by taxi.

After 5 grueling hours of driving through the Andes in near zero visibility, I finally made it to Loja with no idea where to stay, I drove around Loja not knowing where to go and and finally came across this jewel.  It looked expensive but I was pleasantly surprised by the price, the staff was very nice and the room was great, the bed was pretty hard but I was too tired to care.  Free wifi, a complimentary soft drink and breakfast included...

A God Send

I arrived in Loja after a 14-hour bus journey from Chiclayo in Peru. When I got off the bus all I could see where hostels that looked more like brothels. Then I spotted this hotel close to the bus terminal, walked in, asked for the price and never looked back. At USD 60 per night it might be too much for the budget traveler, but for me it was totally worth it after a long bus journey. The hotel was spotless, the room spacious enough with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great too. From the bell boy to the cook, all staff was trying very hard to please. I only stayed for one night on my way to Cuenca. But if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
