Hostal Colonial Chordeleg

We happened upon this property by accident when it turned out our other accommodation had been double-booked and was unavailable for us. The manager of this establishment, Esteban, welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable in our room. While called a hostal, this really isn't like any hostel I had ever stayed at in my youth, and is really a small and intimate hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable, and had adequate electrical outlets for our gadgets. The location could not have been better, and was just a block away from the central square, yet far enough away that it was quiet and tranquil. One interesting feature of this place is that the entrance to the hotel is actually through a chicken restaurant on the main floor. No, the rooms did not smell of chicken, but we did eat at the restaurant...and it was good! Thanks once again to Esteban for making our stay in Chordeleg memorable.
