Apartments Roza

We booked this based on the Booking.com's ratings. Didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised of the type of accomodation this was. The family lives upstairs of this brick-stone-house and there are two large apartments with bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens downstairs. There is also a small studio upstairs to rent. We learned that this is very common at Croatia and you see a lot of apartments and rooms to hire all around the area. The host-family even gave us grapes and tangerines and pomegranade apples from their garden to enjoy. Everything was supplied so you didn't have to shop for detergents or dishwasher tablets. There was a nice local store just couple of steps down... And beach was down the pathway about hundred steps away :) We used the local bus to travel to Cavtat and Dubrovnik. The tickets were 18 and 20 kuna per person. No need to hire a car if you plan to stay at the nearby area between airport and Dubrovnik. Only downside was the noice of young kids from the upstairs apartment of the family. So if you are light sleeper or have no patience for footsteps of minors this could be annoying. I had no problem with it but the stone houses don't keep noises too good. The back porch gave you view right to the sea so morning coffee is best enjoyed there. Maria- the daughter (?) and mother of the kids, who handled all the requests and came to see us couple times is good in english and very helpful. Roza and her husband don't speak too much english. There were also two little kittens to enjoy that the family and neighbors feed regularly....our granddaughter spent all her time with them. NICE:)
