Decided to try something different and Split was the choice. Apartments Kegalj were great and Ivana and Ivan were fantastic hosts. Podstrana was a beautiful resort and reminds me off Greece 30years ago. Beautiful uninhabited beaches and a few tavernas along the way. The downfall was we went to Split each night as a 15 minute by bus and very inexpensive! When in Split? Very careful as the old town surrounded by Roman walls is beautiful! But restaurants are like I imagine? East Europe!!! Wine prices! 10 times the supermarket & no we don't do Croatian wine ( which happens to be lovely) also when you receive the bill/cheque? No matter what you leave? Don't expect change back! I a few times only had 200kn notes and bill was just over 600kn and never offered change from 800kn!! Overall! Podstrana and apts Kegalj were great, but Split won't be on my radar to visit again.
