Lienz

The recommendation came from a friend of mine, Lienzer. The Falkenstein Brewery - hence the origin of the gute GÖSSER beer - has five rooms and offers accommodation and food. Renovated in 2015, the rooms are generous and comfortable. Boutique is really true, because in many places in the house creative elements of the history of the brewery contribute to a special character.

You want to stay overnight at a brewery?

I booked a room for two nights (on the suggestion of an acquaintance of the website Motorcycle Travels). A spacious and very cozy room. To see the bathroom, with music lit at the entrance, but the sink is spectacular it looks like a beer spine with its metal stick underneath. I dined here two nights and I found myself fine, very good beer (on the floor below the rooms there is a brewery. Abundant breakfast. Very nice and friendly staff!!!!

Three days on a motorcycle to the Grossglockner.

The guesthouse was very friendly, the staff was polite, the meals were very tasty. The cook is excellent!! The prices are also friendly. Freshly brewed beer is heavenly! The parking lot is large, there is even a sausage buffet. The newly designed rooms are brewing themed, very cozy. The insulation of the windows is excellent: despite the heavy traffic on the road, there is complete silence in the rooms with the windows closed.

It's an ideal place to explore the area.

After a trip to Lienz, we stopped at this brewery and ordered two typical dishes, which included a filet covered with bacon shells and two potato cakes, all accompanied by grilled vegetables and typical sauces.

Great brewery.

On holiday in the Dolomites, it's just stop in Lienz, we stop at this typical restaurant, very Tyrolean, we order, classic dishes, good and fresh.

A little trip to Lienz!

The staff is very kind, mostly Italian, and one of the dishes I took was parsley potato salad, which looked like it was steeped in butter, unfortunately not to my expectations.

Dinner is fast.

Lienz is the first town beyond the border of Italy. The place is located in a brewery, among other things excellent. The cuisine is typical, abundant, tasty. Honest prices. Go-go flies (but no one seems to notice it from here).

In Lienz

We booked four double rooms for a two-day bike ride (Grossglockner destination) and we found ourselves very well. Gentle staff, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable bathroom and very good breakfast. We tried the restaurant for dinner and were satisfied. Great location for passenger travellers like us. Not suitable for those who want to find the doorman in jacket and tie, the reception is the beer counter. For non-German speakers, the young staff speaks a little Italian and then with English you always meet. Sure, if the opportunity arises again, we will return because the quality/price ratio is very good.

Very good for casual travelers

I was recently with a friend one night, for a short weekend. The hotel is in an excellent position, along the main road that goes from Italy to Lienz, has a large park. It is part of a large building where there is the Gosser beer factory and is located above the restaurant...very characteristic. The rooms have been renovated, in my opinion, recently. The furnishings are in birreria style, very nice, the bathroom is very spacious and equipped with all the comforts, the room is spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable...if I have to it is for the soft pillows, but here in Austria they are all this way. The staff is very kind and I think the price is very available.

It's a great room.

Good brewery in Lienz with great rooms. Washbasins in a beer jar, turmeric as a dishwasher's ornament and good cereal box as a night table. The food is excellent and the beer is mouth-watering. Electricity and Tesla tank. Friendly family business.
