Lienz

The hotel Gasthof Gribelehof is a great place to stay. Don't expect 5 star luxury but if you like a hotel that has character and charm then stay here. We stayed right in the eve which had a cute small balcony. All the staff were friendly. We had a good meal at the restaurant and a yummy pudding. 

Lovely old guesthouse/hotel

Sensational location above Lienz. Excellent and very personal service. Very good food and breakfast. The walking path to the city is relatively short but careful: very tedious. The room was very large and freshly renovated. The bathroom is very spacious and also all new. Absolutely hit is the tranquility and seclusion, perfect.

Sensational location

The small room overlooking the parking lot at €180.00 is objectively too expensive and this was reported when we left. The evening meal was right. Not very refined though. The staff is smiling and efficient. This hotel is a bit 'in its juice' and a refurbishment would be welcome.

Not a good quality/price ratio

Pretty nice location overlooking Lienz, but only recommended if you're travelling by car, otherwise more difficult steep climb on foot, about 10 to 15 minutes from the bus station, or every time by taxi.

Price performance is not correct

The Gasthof Gribelehof, which is situated on the side of the mountain, just a short distance from the castle of Lienz, also looks like a castle. But the corridors and common spaces that house a collection of sacred furnishings (especially wooden statues) testify to the religious passion of the owner's family, according to the adjacent chapel.

Almost a museum of sacred art overlooking the mountains

Very nice staff, unfortunately only two nights were there. Stay was very relaxing. The halls were furnished with antique rustic furnishings. The rooms are bright and large, somewhat sober but functionally furnished. Due to the mild climate, there is no air conditioning. Open windows and the cool, fresh land air inhale, ensures healthy and deep sleep. Beds and mattresses are just right, but rather harsher but very pleasant. Wellness area, sauna and steam bath are also available.

Not only lies it on the castle mountain, it looks like a castle itself!!

A classic Austrian hotel with its various things, furniture and antiques in the hallways near the rooms, reflects their style. Beautiful and comfortable the room all perfect, super quiet, read a little like this, I didn't sleep well. On a hill after the castle of Lienz, the same street...the photos deceived my expectations, the photos when booking show something, being there is something else. A rooftop front room was my panorama, only the left side gave me the mountain view However beautiful as panoramic, from the garden. Breakfast, dinner, good quality and price to see. Near the castle and the cabin, you can find alternatives to your living room.

Classic and scenic

We stayed here for three nights because we wanted to stroll around the area. The hotel is very high up, so you can see it very well on the linz. We reserved the panoramic room under the roof, but it's a bit expensive for this house from our point of view. The facilities are old, but it was clean anyway. The staircase is decorated with local items. Typical for the area. We had half board. The food is local cuisine, but it wasn't stunning. The breakfast is also great. It's just the view from the hotel. Overall, in comparison to the performance/quality of the living room, the price for the food is very high. You can see the view. The service is also very nice to the reception and the service, where we need to stay in the surroundings for the directions we need to move around.

Bisect is absent but ok

High above Lienz you can reach the Gribelehof. On sunny days you can sit comfortably on the terrace and look into the valley. The food was very good and came quite quickly despite the crowds. In between you can go to the little chapel and enjoy the view of Lienz

Instead of being happy that the guest chose the house, you still have to make sure that the salad is so tasty! At a time when tourism is already hard hit thanks to Corona anyway, I think it's dreadful! But from the beginning... a night for one person... 62€ for one (star?) house was halfway acceptable. A salad with pumpkin breast strips and ner cola light for 14€ was unfortunately only partly tasty as the salad was still sparkling in the water. Well, it was already about 9pm and the offer was even more personal... there was no stressful time in these times where the house was probably overwhelmed. The room was filled with a little bit of water but then the kitchen was filled with a lot of light water and a little bit of hot water and a little bit of fast food, but then I had to go to the breakfast and a little breakfast and then I would have to go to the bathroom and then I would have to go to the bathroom and then I would have to drink a little more water, and then, of course, I would have to go to the kitchen and then I would have to go to the bathroom and
