We had a wonderful stay at Frangipani, Leona really went above and beyond. The location is great, so close to the beach, and an easy drive in to town. I will miss the delicious breakfasts every morning.  Thanks!!

Staying at Frangipani made all the difference in our holiday in Port Douglas. It was a beautiful and accommodating B&B in the perfect location. Both Leona and Bob were extremally helpful and pleasant as both warm hospitable hosts and knowledgeable locals. I would not think twice about staying there again.  We stayed in the blue room, which was beautiful and ideal with a large balcony over looking their tranquil pool. Breakfast was very well prepared each day and became a highlight of our mornings. As a bonus, the house is at the end of a quiet street right against 4 mile beach.

Stop in Port Douglas was part of a longer visit to Australia. Should have allocated more time here and the Frangipani Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to stay in the area. It is a built for purpose complex that maximizes the abilities for both privacy, with external access to each room, as well as mix easily in the common areas for breakfast, happy hour and around the pool.

Leona & Bob are the consummate hosts, greeting us when our arrival was delayed to after midnight, and providing a solid start each day with breakfast. They even took us to town the first morning as we familiarized ourselves with the town. Local shuttle  van service works well if you do not want to have a car and the beach is literally a couple of hundred yards from the end of the driveway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the Frangipani to any one looking for this type of accommodation.

We, a family of three, stayed at Frangipani B&B for five nights and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! 

Leona and Bob are wonderful hosts who really make you feel welcome and at home.

Communication with Leona was superb with prompt and informative replies regarding the booking of our stay as well as recommendations and pre-booking of tours for us.

We were the only guests at the time of our stay and we had two comfortable rooms with balconies overlooking the beautiful tropical pool area which was lovely for a swim.

A healthy breakfast with lots of fresh fruit was served on the porch at the time that suited our itinerary for the day - such thoughtful service.

Going into town wasn't really walking distance but Leona kindly offered to take us where we needed to go and there were also shuttle buses.

We highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much Leona and Bob!

When we travel, we try to find places with character and comfort. In both categories, Frangipani did not disappoint! Leona was very responsive before our trip- with recommendations and other important details. We enjoyed spending time with Bob & Leona during our stay as well. They made a lovely breakfast each morning and ate with us. We enjoyed their conversation and company. Leona went above and beyond. We had a bit of laundry that needed to be washed (as we had been on a boat for several days before arriving)- and she not only offered to wash but also folded our laundry. So thoughtful!

The house itself is beautiful with a natural pool and breezy, open atmosphere. Perfect for Port Douglas. We would walk on 4 mile beach (a few steps from their home) to enjoy coffee while watching the sunrise on the beach. 

Finally, Leona & Bob provided excellent recommendations of things to do- our favorites being the Habitat and a trip to Daintree with Tony’s Tropical Tours- the highlight of our trip! 

If we ever return to Port Douglas, Frangipani will undoubtedly be where we decide to stay!!

Stayed here for a few nights recently and were in the blue room, the middle of the three. The room has all you need and was comfortable with lots of fluffy towels and all the little touches that help you feel comfortable. The room has a large open balcony overlooking the garden.

The rooms have their own entrance so you can go and go as you please.

Breakfasts are continental style and held overlooking the pool.

The owners Leone and Bob are friendly and helpful. Bob keeps the guests amused and entertained whilst Leone does the work!  Leone is happy to do your washing as well as her normal tastes.

A comfortable friendly place handily place just away from the centre of Pot Douglas
