My husband and I wanted a nice getaway for the weekend for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed, lovely cottage, very clean and neat, loved the peacefulness of the vineyard, loved the animals walking around and owner was lovely to deal with no problems what so ever and would def come back and stay again.

We have enjoyed two nights in the 'School house' Cottage which simply wonderful. Even the rain did not dampen our stay. Seemed that when we wanted to go out, the rain stoped and visa versa :-)
The kitchen is well set up for cooing or reheating.Continental breakfast ws lovely...the bread to die for!!! Complementary bottle of wine was greatly appreciated.  The rooms, are very large and well appointed. TV works without issue and there are plenty of magazines. Wifi is faultless. Views over the dam and vineyard are just gorgeous. 
We loved our stay and look forward to returning in 2021.

It has been glorious staying here at Rose Cottage in Mayfield Vineyard. The cottage is spacious and very cosy and with a good kitchen for self catering.
Each morning we hear the guinea fowl filing past the kitchen window and see the resident peacock.
Kathy our host is delightful and their wines for tasting are amongst the best in Orange.
It is located about ten minutes from the centre of Orange nestled in the beautiful countryside.
Well worth a visit.

Thank you for a lovely relaxing long weekend in a beautiful location. We had everything we needed, slept incredibly well and loved your decor. Thanks for the lovely bread and muesli and jam. We love your wine and loved watching the kangaroos around the dam. We will be back!

Missing nothing but a spatula for cooking eggs. Otherwise delightful. 
Yes. Some animal in the ceiling but we are in the country and sleeping tablets work a treat!

Two nights and three days at the heavenly Overseer’s Cottage right smack bang in the middle of Mayfield Vineyard. Cosy, warm, and beautifully decorated, sleeps six but we were only two. We were very happy with lovely crusty bread, butter, and jam for breakfast, as Orange abounds in culinary delights, and a simple breakfast suited us perfectly. Kathy was a delightful host, generous and helpful. We can’t wait to make a return visit.

Gorgeous styling and with 3 kids there was plenty of room for everyone. Very friendly staff there was even a bike to use during our stay. We bought a few groceries in town at orange before we arrived which was perfect. Our cottage had a lovely outlook to the lake and we got some much needed piece & quiet - a perfect getaway.

We received good service whilst staying here recently. The cottage was decorated in a warm and comfortable style. The kitchen was well stocked and the complementary  breakfast items and bottle of wine were appreciated.  Looking out over the vines and hearing the geese was very tranquil.  To maintain a high standard of accommodation we’d suggest that the bathroom and kitchen (particularly oven) are updated in the next few years. The addition of a bath would also be a great idea, if possible.

This accomodation is a country farmhouse cottage with a very long history. If you are looking for a real country experience in a vineyard with peaceful surroundings this is for you. Areas for improvement are the breakfast and the possum in the roof. Breakfast was only for one morning and just a loaf of bread and a litre of milk. 

We were very relaxed and enjoyed the stay.

Firstly...the following comments didn’t take away from it being a good experience all in all. However...the cottage we stayed in and I know others who have stayed in different cottages...very run down however have a nice feel. 

Back half of cottage was sinking and there was mould in the bathroom. The cottage wasn’t serviced daily. All of these things are fine if we weren’t paying $400 or more a night. 

Grounds were nice. Owner was lovely. It’s Just important to know your paying a high price for cottages that are run down.
