Our host Mahir Bey was absolutely outstanding and made us feel very welcome to Kocca Ev. He assisted us in learning about the area as we were interested in knowing more about Datca and its environs. Any issue or need we had was dealt with immediately and the staff was well-trained and courteous. The breakfast is one of the best in all of our stays in Turkey, no complaint there. I gave full marks here for all the categories including eco friendliness although there isn't really recycling in Turkey, there was a minimal use of plastic.The rooms are cozy, clean and space is sufficient to feel at home. A return visit is in the near Future Mahir Bey! See you soon!

Staff was friendly, the room was clean and elegantly renovated.  The pool and garden was peaceful. The hotel is a very old building that has been preserved and renovated. It symbolises Eski Datca . I would definetely recommend this place

Surprisingly it is a good hotel. Only thing is poor breakfast.

What a lovely stay we had here, this hotel is so nice set in Old Datca with the beautiful old stone buildings and quaint cobbled streets. The rooms are lovely, very spacious comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The courtyard is beautiful and the pool area is so nice to swim or just chill out by. The Turkish breakfast was delicious lots of choice and the coffee the best I've ever had.The staff are amazing, they will go that extra mile to make your stay a memorable one. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely return. I certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. Book it you won't be disappointed. Thank you for such a lovely stay 💕

We were looking for a place to stay at Datça and it was incredibly difficult, so even the bad reviews we had to go to Kocca Ev. We arrived late so we went to the restaurant, that is were the reception is, and they kindly received us. The room was incredibly clean, with a big flat screen and air conditioner. The village is really quiet so we had no trouble there. Plus, the breakfast in the restaurant was perfect. We think it deserves more than those reviews, we would love to come back one day and stay more. 

I didn't stay here but just for a dinner. I challange you will love it. Everything home made - especially the meatballs and check out the hand-cut chips/fries, definetely far from the frozen industrial ones.

Sensitively restored hotel spread about on several sites in Eski Datça. We had read a few disturbing reviews online after booking the hotel but we didn't encounter any of the issues raised by those reviews.  The welcome was friendly and we were escorted to our rooms with someone carrying our bags.  The rooms were clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and there were plentiful towels for us all.  An all purpose body wash was provided in the shower but no extra toiletries. The pool was small but clean and there were comfy sun-loungers and reclining chairs for use.  There was no obvious poolside service so my husband phoned to Reception to order some drinks.  They were brought up to us though, which was appreciated.  Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast and everything was freshly prepared and we could go back for more if we wanted to.  This was taken in the pleasant shaded courtyard by Reception.  
We had two rooms - one was located up a long set of stone steps (slightly uneven) which was hard for our elderly friends to negotiate their way up. The other room was on two levels - both reached via very steep spiral stairs. Whilst grip rails were in place, it was not suitable for anyone elderly or with balance/disability issues.  This did not impact on our stay but it would have been helpful to know in advance that these rooms did not have easy access and to perhaps have been offered one of the poolside rooms which have no steps.  Both rooms had balconies/tv/air con/decent showers.
Overall, we really enjoyed our one night stay and loved being able to be inside an old stone house in Eski Datça. Because of its closeness to the mosque, this hotel does not serve alcoholic drinks but the bars and restaurants further to the centre of the village obviously do.
My only gripe would be that the various adverts that the hotel places on the many booking sites could more accurately reflect the awkward access to many of the rooms.
