Nextdoor Homestay 

My stay in Yogyakarta was truly amazing. From the moment I arrived, everything was explained so clearly and I received great tips about what to see and do nearby. I visited Borobudur by scooter and arranged a private driver through them to explore Jomblang Cave, which was perfectly organized. I first stayed for three nights before traveling to Ijen and Bromo. Because I enjoyed it so much, I came back and booked another five nights. One of the staff members even advised me to reserve early before leaving because they often get fully booked — and they were absolutely right! I felt incredibly well taken care of and informed throughout my stay. This was my first time traveling abroad, yet it already felt like home. The team is friendly, warm, funny, and has a beautiful dynamic together. I also stayed at Nextdoor Rooms Nature, which I loved, the peaceful surroundings and the sound of flowing water created such a relaxing, zen atmosphere. Not only the staff but also the overall design, plants, and layout of the property are thoughtfully done. During my first days, I stayed in a more private section of the homestay with a pool just steps away from the bed. On my second visit, I accidentally booked the wrong room and had to spend one night at Nature, but everything was quickly and smoothly arranged. The next day I moved to Nextdoor Rooms, the same location as before but a different room for one night since the pool area was fully booked. For my final four nights, I could stay there again, which was absolutely perfect. On clear days you can even see Mount Merapi in the distance on top of the roof, a beautiful view that made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Yogyakarta. Oh, and they even prepared a delicious breakfast for me when I had to leave early for Borobudur, see photo 🫶🏽
