Hotel Am Markt 

We have stayed two nights at the Hotel in early June 2012. overall the hotel has rather a pleasing impressions on us and we were happy to select it for a stay in the region. very positive was the setting of the hotel - it is in relatively small town, right in the center with own parking and restaurant (we have tested the restaurant either - it was very good value for the money). The room we had was very big with double bed, and seating corner, flat screen TV with sattelite - mainly German chanels and en suite facility it is quite town so sleeping quality was very good and the siye quality of the bed was nothing to complain about The personnel is very friendly. Breakfast was OK, as expected for the value. it is DOg travelers friendly and our do felt very happy inside and was not disturbed a lot by the noice. Some points to be aware WiLan Internet - It was free for our conditions (from the hotel booklet I have learned it is to be paid separatly per basic conditions) - was there in the room, yet due to some configuration in the hotel it was very very poor stability of the signal - so most of the time I had to "run for the signal", yet finally I found the poin were it was running for most of the time. The hotel has no lift - so it shall be remembered when you are coming with a lot luggage There is no soap in the shower (at least was not in our room) and the room we were in had no clearning service - that was very unusuall especially taking into account that we were on the way and had no soap with us, expecting to have all the nessesary things in the hotel. Overall I would be happy to stay in the hotel again and would rather recomend it if you are in the area and want to stay in this part of Thuringia. it is relativelly close to nice bathing towns and to Weimar - which is of course a plus to the nice castle ruins on the top of the hil just steps away from the hotel door.
