Hostellerie de la Poterne 

We enjoyed two superb meals in this small Hotel's restaurant. They have 8 guest rooms (it's more a small guest house, rather than a hotel) but we just used their restaurant. Tables outside on the forecourt area, adjacent to a small garden, for warmer evening eating. Florence does front of house waitressing and her husband, Patrick, is the chef. Maurice helps wait tables. All lovely people and very engaging. Their chips are the best ever!! Go for the brochette dishes - long skewers of meat or fish - really tasty and so much of it. On another occasion I enjoyed a fish stew that was, again, first class. Cider, beer and wine all excellent and those, plus food, at very reasonable prices. This should be classed as a restaurant in its own right on Trip Advisor. Go there if you are in the area.
