Great accomodation in family hotel. We come here almost every year and its always better and better! Food, spa and rooms are always cleand and perfectly prepared. The Berger family always gives their best.

Nice Austrian Hotel run by a charming family. The location is beautiful. The restaurant offers typical local dishes complemented by excellent wines.
Our room was spacious with a serene view to the mountains.
Unforgettable was the Christmas Eve dinner. We met nice people among the other guests and shared good time with them as well as with the hotel owners. After dinner we all gathered in the main hall to sing Christmas Carols. The family participated playing guitar and accordion. It was a moment of  pure Christmas atmosphere!
We highly recommend the Hotel Sonnfeld and we are looking forward coming back soon in the warm season.

We enjoyed a 6 day holiday in Hotel Sonnfeld. The service was outstanding. The host, family Berger-Habe were very kind and helpful. The food was very tasty and always more option to choose from. The room was very clean and every detail of the hotel was of a high-quality. The location of the hotel is perfect. We enjoyed a breathtaking view from our balcony. We definitely come back again. Fantastic place for hollyday in Austria. Best gastronomy, Wellness. The friendly staff and tranquility at the Sonnfeld Hotel are a guarantee of a perfect vacation. You can taste fantastic alpengin and schnapps in local distillery.

We very much liked the fresh look of the new reception and bar area, the magnificent panoramic view from the outdoor dining area, the absolute peace and quiet of the place and the warm hospitality of our hosts. 

Despite its felt remoteness, the hotel is surprisingly easy to reach. It served as an ideal base for daily hikes, marvellous mountain tours and rewarding excursions in the immediate neighbourhood.

We spent again our holiday in this hotel. Everything during our stay was excellent, again. The cuisine in the hotel is excellent, the rooms are clean, and especially the atmosphere in the hotel...we come back again soon!

We enjoyed our 7 days stay at this hotel to full extent. The whole family Berger Habe were very helpful, kind and rendered us the best service during our stay.  The food was very tasty and healthy.  The room was spacious and very clean. We had a breathtaking view from our balcony and  enjoyed the view every minut of our stay. Peaceful atmosphere  and surroundings. Wonderful holiday in Hotel Sonnfeld, Hinterstoder, Austria.

It has been 10 years since we visited Gasthof Sonnfeld and the excellent value you get for your money hasn't changed since. The hotel, rooms, and wellness are spotlessly clean and the rooms are bright, with a nice terrace, decent bathroom, and a very good bed. You'll notice this hotel is run by a family because they treat it like you would your own home. Foodwise you can count on a solid breakfast and an excellent dinner. Everything they serve their guests is homemade with local products and you can taste this in every dish. They even make their own gin with local bioproducts and it's a very tasty one. At the end of our trip we even bought 2 bottles to take home with us.

The atmosphere in the hotel is probably their greatest asset. The family Berger is very loving, honest and welcoming. Next to this, they possess a great sense of humour and they like to create a cheerful atmosphere, which is best shown by their music night on Friday. Something we would definitely recommend to attend, as they're very talented musicians and it's just good fun. Prepare to have a beer (or two)!

Aloise & Renate: the hotel was superb 10 years ago and the quality hasn't changed a bit, in our opinion it might even got better. We would like to add, that if you ever decide to retire, you can rest assured that the Gasthof is in great hands. Marina and Alex are great people and hosts and they'll do an excellent job running Sonnfeld for many more years to come.

Best place in Hinterstoder!!!The owners family it was very helpful and very kind!!!
We stayed at this pension for 4 nights.Alex and Marina welcomed us very nice and friendly with a many information for our holiday.The rooms it was very clean and we haved a beautiful panorama view.
All the hosting was exceptionally and culminated with a musical party in the last evening of our stay.
